Host & Stay - the Old Brewery

Very disappointed arrived December 23rd for our annual family get together and not a Christmas decoration in sight luckily the shops were still open so managed to buy a tree etc to make it feel festive House on the whole was very nice just a little grubby and unloved however hot water in all the showers was very intermittent and downstairs wet room was quite shabby and ovens definitely not made to make yorkshire puddings Stairs are quite steep and No handrail so beware On the plus side the beds were all very comfortable so good night's sleep for everyone and a lovely large dining table & fab location

We are currently staying here (26th August 2023) and for the money we’ve paid I have to say that not only am I disappointed in some aspects of the accommodation but I am extremely concerned about a particular aspect that we have found that is not only highly dangerous and could kill somebody but I’m pretty certain it’s illegal in a rented property. This is a plug socket not secured to a wall in the boiler cupboard of our bathroom with live terminals in easy reach. The door to this cupboard is unlocked and could easily be accessed by a child. There is hardly any hot water in any of the bathrooms and one en-suite has a sink incorporated into the toilet cistern, disgusting. Won’t be staying here again and have reported the electricity issue.
