Going by the pictures and reviews I thought this would be lovely. Well we must have got one of the budget rooms. There was no information for guests in the room, no wifi password to be found, room was a good size, clean but a bit dated as was the bathroom, no windows that opened and no fan, small shower recess with showerhead needing a good clean. Old aircon sticky taped up to hold it together, there was NO remote and when I asked the manager if the aircon worked because there was no remote, he assured me it did and the remote would be on the wall inside the door, photo show this is not correct. He also said that sometimes the remote can get scooped up with the sheets that may be why its not there??? I would have thoght that the cleaners should make sure everything is in the rooms before guests arrive.!! Dinner in the restaurant, meal was average if not a little overpriced, no alcohol priclist available. Would not stay here again, much better motels available in Charters Towers.

A nice motel with good sized room and friendly staff. Good restaurant for evening meals. A little out from CBD area buty would recommend to others.

Really tight parking. No room for a trailer. Rooms aren’t sound proof so you’ll hear everyone’s conversations in the bbq area. Restaurant is only open Monday to Friday

We stayed during a public holiday so did not see any staff but check-in was really easy as messages were sent with details. Good place to stay.

We've stayed at the Cattleman's Rest Motor Inn many times over the years and have always been happy with the service and accommodation. The fact that they have a restaurant attached, that serves excellent meals, is a bonus.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at The Cattleman’s Rest. Room was neat clean and tidy. We were also able to walk into town for dinner. Friendly staff easy check in. We stayed here after reading reviews online. Good off street parking. Full size fridge and microwave.

Batteries in remote flat. Restaurant not open and hasn’t been for some time. Toilet pedestal loose and wobbly. No plates Knives forks or other cutlery in room. No microwave. No basin in badly renovated bathroom. In other words, a real dump.

This is the second time I have stayed in the 2 bedroom Family room for a weekend. It is very comfortable and clean.
