Urban Hotel the Golden Stork

A budget friendly hideout accessible via tram, bus and train. Very friendly staff.

The matress was so dirty it looked like there was bed bugs on it, with bloody spots, and no protection, i couldn't get no sleep, my son woke up scratching and in pain! We both got disgusted because the matress was really in bad condition and the linen didn't protect from it! There was also a lot of hairs in the bed, i havey eyes full of alergic reaction amd my body itchy from the dirtiness of the matress! The employee couldn't help much, the hotel was full booked and he didn't have access to protector linen forbthe matress.

The matrasses are of very poor quality. No extra blankets for colder nights and the AC unit turns itself on early in the mornings at 18C resulting in early wakeup, being cold and missing out on the most important thing of the stay: sleep.  Showers are acceptable but water will run everywhere.

This was among my least preferred hostels so far. While the guys in the reception were helpful, the room they gave me was dirty. The bed I was assigned to had dirt and bugs!! And then for two nights the cold shower didn’t work, so we only had scalding water! It’s also distant from the main things in The Hague. Oh well…

The hotel was very shitty and terrible! First bed: I book a single double although the room is single double room for sure, the bed is combine by two single beds, there was even a hole between two beds, when I told the staff about this, she just told me she can’t fix this problem, until they shift to another staff, despite that he help me to fix the problem but it already the last three days of my stay! Second shower system: the bath system is also shitty! Water either extremely hot or cold, and the staff doesn’t figure out how to fix the problem, until my last 4 days staying! Eventually I got cold after I ‘m back in the UK! Third heating: the heating should be a centralised one, but the staff didn’t figure out how to fix it or turn on it,they even give me a portable one instead, the voltage often overload because the heating, and lights in the room, and it is also one of the reasons I got cold. Last lights: the lights is very dark in the room! I’m quite disappointed my stay, the hostel should increase the training of their staff also the facilities, fix the problem of heating and shower system! I will never book this hostel again.

The hotel manager and receptionist are ******, the hotel is very unhigienic, nothing like hospitality to their clients they treat and shout at their clients, no clients relationship,the kitchen very dirty, the hotel should be shut down, am very sad staying in that hotel, is just a wasted time

If you can, please go literally anywhere else. Starting off with the room: the sheets were stained, the towels (which we originally did not even have) were also stained, it was dusty everywhere, the bathroom smelled horrible (of sewege), we booked a king size bedroom but had two single beds, the extremely thin walls made it hard to sleep. They were supposed to clean the room every 3 days but never did. Another huge issue is unfortunately the type of people who sleep there. Almost everyone was either very clearly an alcoholic or ***********. We often felt unsafe. However the guys who worked there were absolutely amazing! They were super sweet and super helpful.

I was traveling for personal trip and the hotel was a good choice as I was looking for a low cost stay with reasonable and decent place to stay .. my booking was a single private room and with a private toilet and amenities .. compared to the location and price it was super .. just walking distance from the train station and easy to access services around the city .. the employees were nice and helpful and the neighborhood is quiet and nice .. thank you for a nice stay
