Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rochester North Mayo Clinic

It was a nice motel but the reason why I rated cleaning poorly was because I found hair in the towels. The hair was not mine and I didn’t touch the towels and some concerns about the ceiling pictures are shown in the pictures. Overall experience was good!

Nice location right in Rochester. I was only driving through, but there's a bunch of shops and restaurants near by to pick up food. The facilities were clean.

Room was very clean and supplied. Wi-Fi was terrible! Mentioned it to the morning desk attendant and got "I know sorry". If not for the wi-fi I would have given it a 5 star review

It’s oKay to me. Not like before. I go to that hotel every time I go to Mayo but now it’s okay. No accessible for the deaf in the room.

I've stayed at this particular location several times over the last few years. It's always been up to par. I'm sorry to say my most recent stay found the facility in dire need of updates and repairs. Many items in my room were in poor condition - broken recliner, rusted vent cover in bathroom, cobwebs in many places through the room, no USB ports, badly worn arm rests on desk chair, stained walls, no back cover on the tv remote, rusted and broken shower caddy hanging in shower, sub-par cleanliness. I understand the pricing on this hotel is cheaper than most, but that does not negate the poor shape that the facility is falling into. Not sure that I'd stay here again.

When we travel to Rochester, this hotel always delivers great value and a decent room. The staff at the front desk has always been great over the years we have stayed here. This is not a five-star hotel by any means, it has always worked for us on our business trips

Lovely photo of cut fresh fruit on the website home page, but only whole apples and bananas. The price is cheap but so is the hotel so I guess you get what you pay for.

Rude staff and I paid but they wouldn't let me stay because I'm considered local but nowhere does it state no locals. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone look further because there's a better place to stay

The room and price were good. This was my 2nd stay. During my first stay in early October my toilet overflowed. I just fluched it once.It was pure clean water. It did overflow into the hall. I told the desk clerk immediately. He got a plunger and I unclogged it. So much for the " help ". On this last stay, i was checking in, I had already paid for a 5 night stay. Upon talking to the Manager Amanda she said " About the room damage" I asked her what room damage. She said the toilet overflowing. She said I had done it deliberately and that I didnt tell the clerk immediately. I did. She actually argued with me but i was pretty firm. She threatened me with canceling my reservation. I couldnt afford to get a room elsewhere. I was the bigger person and played " nice " for a bit. After that I was made to feel like an outcast. Bad looks from all. Not speaking to me. I was there in Rochester, MN to go to the Mayo Clinic. I am very sick and have a couple of life threatening issues. I didnt need or appreciate the treatment from Amanda the Manager or the other employees. I did later file a complaint to Wyndham. They understood and apologized. I was supposed to get a call from Wyndham but never did. If I had a choice I wont stay there again. Like I said Im pretty sick and am not in the mood for junior high like attitude.
