We were only staying one night and were aware that we had paid a budget price, but the bed was one of the best we have slept on.
The hotel is tired, but you can see that it is being renovated

l love the cleaniliness but getting up the stairs is pretty hard because some of our luggage is heavy. It would have been better if there is an elevator.

Graham at reception very helpful. My room had a large circular rusty water mark the corner above the coffee/tea/eating table and the air con front cover in that same area was not attached properly (I thought it was going to fall off). Also, the corridor was undergoing renovation re painting etc so was a bit messy however was clean.

Don’t Stay Here!!! I’ve travelled for over 40 years and this experience was the worst I’ve ever experienced We arrive at 4.20 and reception was closed despite signage stating “open until 5.30” After 3 attempts on emergency contact number we were informed staff was “off site and would be 40 mins” so waited over half an hour for staff to return (we had No cancellation booking) Staff member was dismissive, rude and not at all apologetic - so much so that they didn’t even acknowledge us when they drove up to entrance and let themselves into side entrance (we waited another 5mins) and after unlocking front door did not invite us in - we tested front door to find it was now unlocked - we then went to reception and we’re again not acknowledged Pool was also closed with no explanation Would NEVER stay or recommend this place

Clean and Quiet, even though it is next to the main road (the room was on the other side of the building from the main road) restaurants and pub were close enough to walk to. Position is next to the River and good pathways. We would use this motel again. Price was great.

Our room was ok. Shower and bathroom was good.
However, the hotel is noticeably aged. The stairs were difficult to navigate our luggage.
The fire door was locked. Which shouldn’t be the case.
In the corridors it was very dark and the carpets in the corridor were very worn.
It was quite run down and unfortunately a lot of the businesses around the hotel are closed as well.

Reception was closed no lift expected to carry luggage up numerous stairs via a back staircase and my room was on level 2 Gentleman on the phone was rude when I informed him I was not able to carry my luggage up those stairs I was told he didn’t build the building so I informed him I would need to cancel . Was said okay put keys back at no time was I told that I would still be charged for both nights which I was

Property looked closed when I arrived with the closed sign in the window - manager advised he leaves it up all the time. Office hours listed 8-6pm and was closed in these hours.
The room was on the 1st floor; the floor smelt like industrial cleaner, and the room was worse - woke up with a headache.
Advertised and checkin paperwork advised a daily room clean with fresh towels - that didnt happen.
Rude managers, like I was an inconvenience to them.
