G55 Design Hotel

I would like to share with you my experience at the G55 hotel. The hotel is located in a big palazzo which includes offices and private residences. The receptionist is not there all the time. Rooms have a good size and decor is basic. The price per night we paid for our stay (over Eur200 per night) was way too high considering the type of hotel. During our stay at this hotel someone broke into our room and stole most of our items including shopping, electronics, and many more personal items. The person that broke into our room knew (I) that there was no CCTV coverage of the area outside our room, (II) the code to the front door and (III) either had access to the key of our room or the room was left open by one of the cleaners, as there was no apparent break in. It is also worth noting that the lock to the front door which requires a code to open was not working properly as a small push resulted in the door giving in. Needless to say we made the necessary police report. After this incident we moved to another hotel in Rome. I would not recommend this hotel as there is an evident lack of security and the hotel led us to believe that they will provide some sort of cover for the items that have been stolen only to later receive a letter from their Italian lawyer saying that the refund of the accommodation cost was more than enough to cover the items lost - which is totally untrue considering that we left the hotel mid-way our holiday in Rome and the value of the items stolen was much (multiple times) higher than the cost of the accommodation. Just be careful if you plan to book this hotel.

A “boutique hotel” at the second floor of a creepy apartment building We received a small room, not very clean with hard smell of smoking everywhere (I asked about it and the answer was that it is not allowed to smoke there) The head of the shower broke, the shower didn’t have a glass door so all the bathroom was filled with water No one was at the desk during the day The only plus was that the hotel close to the center Doesn’t worth 200+ Euros a night

Be careful!!! Stay away from the hotel I made a reservation for the hotel a month before arriving. Three days before my flight the hotel canceled it. The reason for it was “wrong credit card details”. It’s worth to mention that I used my Booking account which has my credit card details for many years, and I’ve been using the same card for several years. I decided to send them my partner credit card, but they said the same thing and declined the reservation. I asked to credit card companies whether any one tried to verify the card details and they informed my that no. It is obviously the hotel overbooked and they tried to decline my reservation I was trying to call the hotel several times, sent messages and no one answer me

Felt like home ! I would have liked a more Personalized attention … but the location, the spacious room, and the nice view, erased that first feeling. I would certainly recommend it and will be back! Hope next time the coffee maker can be inside the room!!

Absolutely tremendous stay ,, my man Zahid was amazing love you man. I'm coming again. My man zahid came with 9 liters of water for free 💧 for us .. location is the best. His hospitality is on a nother level. Be ready im coming back home my brother.👍👍

Very disappointed with this "Hotel" it was a room in an apartment block. Not always someone on reception you have to WhatsApp them if you need them?? No breakfast available at the property as stated in the description-it's at another location which we couldn't find and nobody seemed to be able to tell us where to find it. No tea or coffee making facilities in our room it was outside in the hall on a table-a jar of instant coffee, individually packaged tea bags and no milk. We had to bring the kettle into our room to boil it as there wasn't any electrical socket in the hall. No rubbish bin in the room and the room was very small for a "superior" room nowhere to sit down apart from the bed-there was a small table and one uncomfortable chair squashed into the corner-it also didn't look like the photos on the booking site. Apart from that it's in a good location-near the Pantheon and a good bus service a couple of minutes walk away. The room and bathroom were also very clean. There was a lovely girl on reception the evening before we left-didn't get her name. If you just want a room to sleep in at the end of the day and no bar or restaurant or person on reception all day then it's ok. I won't be staying there again.

This is not a hotel, it is more like a bnb in a residential building. And there is nothing design about it. We waited 45 minutes before somebody arrived to let us in. There is No receptionist. The rooms are ok but way less nice than they look like in the pictures. A lot of street noise but that is to be expected of this location. The ‘decor’ looks like childrens craft projects. But that There Isnt anyone present i found the most annoying. We stayed here four nights and didnt see anyone the whole time, apart from the ‘receptionist’ that Made us wait 45 minutes in the scorching heat before letting us in. The positive reviews about this place must be a scam.

The hotel is located in the upper floors of an apartment/condominium building. the rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. This hotel is conveniently located with easy (walking) access to the Roman Jewish Ghetto, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Castel Sant'Angelo, Temple of Vesta, Trevi Fountain. St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and Sistine Chapel are a short taxi ride away.
