About a ten minute walk from everything basically, this hotel sits in a great Neighbourhood about 100m from the US embassy with plenty going on. About 10 min walk from Termini. Staff are great but not too many of them so run with minimal staff, lovely rooftop bar that was only open to residents, breakfast was good but the hot stuff wasn’t great. Room was a corner one with sort of shower room Suite which was unusual and room was well appointed. Bar is in reception but functional. All in all a great stay and would use again as reasonable enough and location great.

It was a nice week stay. Great location close to piazza Barberini and villa Borghese and all spots in general. Pharmacy and corner shops are also nearby. Super helpful staff. Cleaning and changing every day. Air conditioning. Not very diverse breakfast but I’m ok with it😉

I was surprised to read the negative reviews about the Royal Bissolati, as our experience was 100% positive. The hotel was large enough to have nice facilities but small enough to have a high level of service. My wife and I appreciated the stylish modern room furnishings. The room was spacious enough, and we had zero issues with noise, as the window treatments did their job perfectly. The bathroom was nice and water pressure good. The AC worked well as expected. The lobby is pleasant and airy, and the breakfast area just as hoped. The location of the hotel is excellent, and we walked easily to all sites in the centro. We dined nearby and there is plenty of shopping within a few blocks. We even walked to the hotel from the Termini station, after we saw the interminable taxi line there. We would recommend the Bissolati to anyone seeking a lovely alternative to the larger and more impersonal hotels near the via Veneto. We stayed there in early July.

I booked a stay at Hotel Royal Bissolati for 3 nights from June 22 to June 25. I had booked a Deluxe room with Terrace at EUR 449 per night (EUR 1347 total). The room's AC (room no 309) was not working, so I was shifted to a lower category at the same rate. My request for revision to lower rate as per room category was denied. Thereafter, I requested to check out after 1 nights stay with no extra charges for the other 2 nights as the booked room was not up to the mark and even the replacement room was poor. Initially the receptionist Maria agreed to do so but then after 5 minutes charged by card for all the 3 nights. Then to my absolute shock, she unethically said that the charge was automatic when in fact I saw her process it right in front of my eyes. She blatantly told me that pay full amount and stay in lower category room (room no 306) or you can leave but we won't refund. I am even embarrassed to mention her racial comment that "you people from India are used to heat, why you need AC?". Such mistreatment, insult and abuse of customer is shocking to see in today's day and age. I was visiting Italy with my wife for a nice vacation and this is not the way to treat a well paying guest. I have traveled 30+ countries and even stayed in USA and UK for my education, but never come across such unfair and rude treatment at any hotel. Even against my polite requests, she kept shouting and many times in Italian which is utterly disrespect. Even in the replacement room, I couldn't sleep till 2am on the first night. I had to wake up at 7am for my booked tour but was unable to sleep. They apparently control the AC from the reception and I requested them multiple times to check the temperature. The front desk guy apparently changed it from 32 C to 22 C but still no change as the room remains boiling hot. Nightmare of an experience without utter harassment and disregard of customer welfare. I would give them 0 stars if Google reviews had that option. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had and, most importantly, I want other prospective customers to know all this while considering this hotel.

Very interesting quirky hotel, staff were always pleasant and helpful. Fairly good location but located at the top of the hill so on your way back after a long day sight seeing it’s quite a trek back up. They play music in the hotel which seems to start about 7am which woke me each morning. Could improve with better storage facilities, barely anywhere to hang your clothes and the blinds could be better, the room was never dark as there seem to be lights in the windows. We wanted to use the rooftop terrace but both times we went up there was nobody serving even thought they advertise it throughout the hotel. On the whole it was a pleasant stay so would certainly visit again.

A good central location; very helpful staff; great included breakfast; pleasant ample sized room w private bath. Nearby restaurants. We learned about tasty spritzers from the gracious staff. Enjoyed them at their sidewalk tables. The kitchen was run by a no-nonsense chef who gave a charming flavor to the place.

Traveled with family and had two deluxe rooms reserved. Only got one deluxe room as "other deluxe room had an issue with the curtains!". Also one of the rooms was suppose to have two beds, they gave us one king bed so my teenagers had to share a bed. The non-deluxe room was very small for two teenagers. The deluxe room was in a corner lot and was really shaped strangely. But the biggest complain is that bathroom and showers are in the closet. Literally, in the wooden closet steps away from the bed. Imaging using the restroom while a wooden door that doesn't even fully close is separating you from others steps a way. Really awkward and uncomfortable.

Just a most pleasant experience. Well located, in walking distance to the main train station and Trevi Fountain; very friendly helpful receptionists; comprehensive breakfast. We stayed here for 4 days prior to starting a cruise. My bias is in favor of land sightseeing. So this hotel worked out quite well. Of course, as is common in Europe, this place had it's charm, when the elevator broke down on a holiday weekend. Our room was interesting, with a large sliding 'barn- like' door closing off the bathroom section of our bedroom. Typical artsy Italian furnishings and fixtures. Also nice bar at the reception desk.

As with so many places, it isn't all about the facilities if the people aren't right. We loved so much about this hotel - the reception and housekeeping staff and our room. But it all became painful at breakfast. One waiter was lovely and helpful. The other, who was on duty three of our four mornings, was a nightmare. I am sure that the hotel knows this but ignores the fact that he treats "guests" as anything but. One morning, he just exhausted us with his interference. The next day he was on, we needed to leave very early to go to the Vatican and had the temerity to arrive 10 minutes early for breakfast at 7.20. Lots of food was already available and would have suited us including the bacon and scrambled eggs - looking rather lovely - not the dry stuff available normally. This waiter was really angry with us, throwing us out of the restaurant. As a result we had to leave without anything to eat or drink. Totally unacceptable and very rude to paying guests. Courtesy costs nothing but discourtesy is unacceptable so costs loads. Sadly despite liking so much about the hotel, we won't be back here next time we are in Rome. Very sad but we just don't want to be treated so badly again. This is the impact of just one person on the reputation of a hospitality business. Hoteliers should always hire for attitude as they will lose business for poor attitude We shall try our luck elsewhere with regret.
