Hotel Mascagni is situated next to Piazza della Repubblica (metro) and a few minutes’ walk from Termini train station, which connects to all of Italy and FCO airport. And if, like me, you find central Rome best navigated on foot, it’s adequately located to reach pretty much anywhere you need to get to. I was upgraded to one of the rooms on the fourth floor of an adjacent building. My room was comfortable and clean, with a good shower. It was situated on the back side of the building, away from the noisy road that passes the hotel. For me, this was much appreciated. You can store your bags there in case of early arrival. Breakfast caters for every expectation. All in all, reasonably priced and satisfactory. Not flash, but a solid performer - at least for a business traveller like me - that’s worth a return visit.

We arrived fairly late and we had a warm greeting, we were moved here from our original hotel and it was such and upgraded( we found the original hotel about 5 mins walk from here ). We were in the second part of the building very straight forward to find our room. The room was beautiful and had all we needed, the free mini bar was handy. Would been handy to have a information pack. Luckily we right opposite the breakfast room, and the breakfast was lovely and had a nice selection. We did experience some loss of power on 2 nights, the first time it was resolved quickly second time it was most rooms on our floor. We were about 20mins walk from the colosseum and roughly the same for the trevi fountain. Housekeeping sometimes didn't replenish our coffee cup as they were paper cups which made hard to have a drink in the room, also they never took the rubbish out. We would recommend this hotel hands down.

Great location, clean rooms, breakfast -- Spacious room enough for family of 4 -- We stayed for two nights and our room looked like the one in many of the pictures we saw before we reserved our room. One quirk we experienced was that we had to drop off the key when we left every time to the front desk..... not a big deal to us but we didn't know going in. We'd stay here again but it wasn't cheap, so make sure the location is worth it.

We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are a little small, especially bathrooms but this is an old building so it's to be expected. AC worked great. Staff kind and helpful. A little walk will get you to major attractions and nice restaurants. Great breakfast in a cozy room. Thank you esp to Luciano at the front desk who is such a gentleman. The night concierge whose name I can't remember was also very helpful with great restaurant suggestions. Taxi stand right outside hotel was also a big help.

The Mascagni never disappoints, while the rooms the traditional hotel are starting to show their age it’s a charming experience with great attentive service and an abundant breakfast.

We loved our stay at Hotel Mascagni. The hotel's location is terrific and in walking distance of so many monuments, Basilicas and significant places in history. The staff was tremendous, especially Daniel, who was so helpful in providing recommendations for places to visit with directions. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the bar in the evening. We loved our room in the new Luxury side. The rooms are lovely and modern,and are well appointed with a beautiful view.

Fantastic Service and nothing is too much. When we arrived they advised us that there had been an issue with the booking system and it had double booked our room for the first night, however they had arranged for us to have a room in their sister hotel that was just around the corner (this was also very nice) as well as booking and paying for a taxi over there and then brining our luggage back across in the morning. When we can back the following day, they had upgraded us to the very best room in the luxury suites which was absolutely beautiful, the shower was absolutely amazing, like an Amazonian downpour. Breakfast was great, eggs, bacon, toast and a selection of pastries, fruit, cheeses and meats. Could not recommend this hotel enough.

It said 4 stars hotel. But not true old musty room not a good hotel. Small elevator. All rooms on the picture is phot shop. It’s not standard of 4 stars hotel. Main hotel building is little better but the rooms in second building is terrible. Manager not very hospitable.
