…but unfortunately the beds, pillows and bedding where terrible. This is such a shame as everything else was wonderful - the staff are super lovely and helpful, the location is perfect, the general ambience and design of the hotel is beautiful and Acqua di Parma is a beautiful finishing touch. But, the mattresses are like rocks. Now I like a firm mattress but this was super hard, while at the same time bouncy, so every time the other person moved the whole rock bed wobbled…! I suggest the hotel invest in featherbeds or other toppers as an easy fix remedy. The pillows should all just be thrown out and start again - flat, synthetic - terrible. And finally while not a deal breaker on its own, the sheets did not fit the bed properly, so with everything else, it just made the whole bed experience very disappointing. The only redeeming feature was that the bed was large - a proper king, which is hard to find in Rome. I hope the hotel will sort this out and start receiving the 5 star reviews it deserves. I would stay again if the bedding situation was improved.

Perfeclty situated hotel, a short walk to The Pantheon, shops, restarants and Vatican City. In a quiet side street with a wonderful breakfast provided in a room literally across the street from the entrance. The staff were really wonderful, super friendly and helpful at all times. The toiletries are Aqua De Palma and bed linens were lovely. The bed however was extremely hard and rather low. The decor is beautiful but an acquired taste, rooms are very dark with little natural light and dimly lit. It was difficult to get ready as I am used to a bright bathroom. I did feel a little claustrophobic at times due to the small window and this being over shadowed by a fire escape above and over it. Small TvV which wasn't in the best position so we kept knocking it when we went to the bathroom. Good size bathroom with a very large brilliant power shower Room was very clean but the overall design could have been better.

We were referred to this hotel due to the family room and it was amazing! Spacious for our family of 5 with the 3 kids in one room with a king and a single and the parents also had a king is separate room. We requested the 2 bathrooms which were great. Location was amazing. Cant recommend highly enough to explore Rome.

This is of the best hotel I've ever stayed. The rooms are very chic, elegant, stylish, clean and comfortable. For the shampoo, body shower and lotion, they are offering acqua di parma which is softest brand for the body. The Hotel's staff are very smiling, welcoming and helping for every single challenges we have. They offered very nice and lovely environment during our stay, they arranged our transportation to airport and also helped us for the travelling in Rome, which places should we see, how can we get there. The location is the hotel is very best, you can visit all Rome, you can walk through every single part of the city. But if you are handicapped, it is also very easy to feel the spirit of Rome because the hotel is inside the very historical part of the city and bus lines are just stone-distant from hotel. You can find most delicate restaurants and cafes as well near. Starting from the check-in until check-out, the Hotel offered us everything beyond our expectations's from hotels. I would like to thank all of them for their kindness. I will never forget their stone, high-ceiling room, which makes me feel I am living in a stylish modern cage!

We recently returned to NY from Rome after four nights at this hotel. My wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely. Let me share a number of the major positives: - Tremendous, central location for touring throughout Rome. - Building was safe and secure. - Wonderful combination of historical architecture contrasted with interior modern design aesthetic. - Super friendly and helpful staff. The manager Dora is terrific. - Our room was very clean and well maintained. - Delicious buffet breakfast just yards away and across the street. Nothing to complain about other than a lack of natural sunlight entering our particular room. This was not problematic for us as we were busy touring Rome and out of the room during the day.

I booked a different hotel and was sent here instead. Apart from the foyer- it’s awful. A soulless windowless room broken air con, used toiletries, no information or anyway to contact staff. It is a miserable place. The tv had no adjustable volume working and I couldn’t get a wifi signal. They control the air con and turn it off completely in the evening so I was just overheating. Terrible sleep in a really miserable place with no atmosphere, breakfast is across the road, something nobody even bothered to tell me. Wish I didn’t have to stay another night

We recently stayed at Hotel Dei Barbieri for a few days in Rome and really enjoyed our stay. We arrived late at night from Australia and Adriana greeted us on arrival. It was a pleasure to be welcomed by such a smiling and helpful person. The staff are wonderful and given the hotel is small and boutique you are able to receive more personal service. The hotel is very quiet (rare for Rome!) and perfectly located in walking distance to some of the best restaurants and cafes and close to Piazza Venezia, Campo Dei Fiori, Trastevere and Piazza Navona. Our only small request is to have better pillows and extra blanket in the room. Breakfast was delicious and great to have included in the room rate. Thanks again we will definitely return on our next trip to Rome!

This hotel is located on a pretty quiet alley/street in a good central location in Rome. The building is obviously old but the rooms have been very nicely updated and feel relatively modern. The check in process was smooth and the staff was pleasant. We were in Rome when it was very hot outside and our rooms were incredibly hot at all times. There are small air conditioners but they are not sufficient. It never got below 30° C in our rooms. I would not recommend staying in this hotel in hot weather.

We liked the hotel a lot. It is housed in a old palace, but the rooms are new. They are spacious, the bathroom and lights work well. The hotel is very quiet. The front desk -- Allesandro in particular -- is very helpful. And it is surrounded by excellent restaurants. Only drawbacks: the breakfast is mediocre and begins fairly late (8AM).
