Great experience. Rooms were clean and tidy. Cheaper to book through their official website for better rate. AC works great

I'm writing this at 4.30am in the shower cubicle because it's so damn hot in this horrible place. The rude guy on the front desk is refusing to put the aircon on and so the rooms are literally unbearably hot. So four of my group had to sit outside in the parking lot to cool down, at which point he locked us out and we had to buzz and knock to get him to let us back in. The rooms are filthy, mould everywhere, the drains absolutely stink, other people in this hostel are currently searching for other places to stay because it's that awful. The bunk beds have no ladders and are dangerously flimsy, only half our lockers actually lock and even then not properly and the guy at the front desk keeps trying to get into the shower cubicle (wrestling with the door... Thank god there's a lock and I'm not actually showering) I'm sitting in, even though I've told him twice that I'm on the phone. DO NOT STAY HERE I can't stress this enough, worst place I've ever experienced. I've rated it 1 star because TripAdvisor says you have to select between 1 and 5, but I wouldn't actually give it that. If you've already booked here, just pay extra money and go somewhere else, you'll have the worst time ever here.

Solo Travellers come here!! This hostel was the perfect way to comfortably experience everything Rome had to offer with an EXTREMELY social atmosphere. I had a 3 night stay and it bas a blast. There is always someone interesting to talk to and always something to do. One of the best I’ve stayed in, without a doubt. The staff were incredible, the location was good, it was cleaned every single day, had a fantastic time here would definitely recommend

Overall a very pleasant stay. Great location, clean room, friendly staffs! Definitely would stay there again. Convenient location just beside the metro (30 seconds walk)…..I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels around Europe gotta admit this one has the best atmosphere. Worth every penny!

Absolutely amazing place to stay, Overall this is probably the best and most social hostel in Rome. I came as solo traveler and I met literally A LOT of new people. The staff, the events, and especially the free pasta, all help solo travellers to meet super easily. You can talk to anyone here and the common area is always busy. Rooms and facilities are clean. The hostel is located at 4 subway stops from Coliseuem. I came in a very hot day in Rome and the room had a great AC.

Do not stay here. We stayed in 9 hostels total during our trips and this one was the absolute worst. This place does not even deserve to be called a ‘hostel’. Firstly, Marco who runs the place bursts into your rooms whenever he feels like, including at half 11 at night. Came into our room multiple times at various different times of day and night over the course of our 5 night stay and we checked out early because of this. We told him to get out and he then made up some lie about the guy in our room (who was not present when Marco walked in) needing a taxi that he needed to talk to him about. We knew this was a lie because we checked with the guy who apparently needed the taxi when he got back and he did not. Marco repeatedly came into our room for no reason other than what all know it to be and then lied about it after. Marco, you are not as good a liar as you think you are! Dodgy payments - Marco also demands that you go to a cash machine to pay them in cash - they will claim the card reader is broken and that a new one will be delivered but this is not correct, the card reader does work and if you scroll on these reviews there is a history of this place demanding cash and claiming the reader is broken. They will later cancel your booking if you booked through a third party so that you cannot leave a review. Has bed bugs. Woke up after the first night with awful bed bug bites - had this confirmed by a professional despite Marco’s insistence they were not from bed bugs (again Marco, you are a terrible liar!). We tried to checkout early but the staff were intimidating and wouldn’t let us leave. They tried to blame travellers for bed bugs when everyone knows the hostel is liable for this as it is their responsibility to provide sanitary accommodation. Never had a problem with bed bugs in any of the other 9 hostels we stayed in over the course of 5 weeks. No aircon - This place fiddles with the aircon so it is not on all night as advertised, rooms get up to 33 degrees at night which made my friends health condition worse despite repeatedly pleading with the staff not to switch the aircon off. They will claim that the aircon is remote controlled in the room. It is not, it is centrally controlled. Stayed in June also, owner claimed it was fully booked but not another soul around (understandable as the place is vile)Very unsocial hostel. The hostel is also located down an alley on a building site - absolutely not safe for women when combined with the creep of a host. Marco also cancelled our booking on hostelworld (despite initially lying to us saying he could not cancel our booking when we wanted to checkout out) so we cannot leave a negative review, hence why that place is rated 8.6 on hostelworld even though it’s the most filthy, disgusting place. Marco, if you want good feedback would it not be easier to just not be a creep and run a decent hostel?? Absolutely disgusting and dirty, completely unprofessional and rude staff, Marco

Clean and basic. Small kitchen and bathrooms in dorm rooms were compact. No common bathroom, you need to go back to your room.
