I took a couple of colleagues here for lunch, having booked a table in advance we met, had a drink, and then ordered our food. The service was great, and the lady who served us was engaging and informed on the dishes. The food was good, and we all enjoyed our respective meals. I then brought the family here a few weeks later for an evening meal, and while the food was good, it wasnt as good as the previous occasion. Will come back on another day and try again as constiency was key... In this case burger had by one of the party was overcooked and tough

I do not know why but have not been to the Cromwell Arms for many years. A wonderful evening for my birthday. The staff , especially Danny, where all very friendly and had good knowledge of food and drinks. The food we had was very tasty and a little extra fun were the balloons at the table. Will be going again soon.

Booked a two night stay for our anniversary. Arrived at reception to a friendly welcome. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Great shower & soft towels. Booked an evening meal that night, which was delicious. The dining room knew it was our anniversary, & had decorated our table, which was a lovely surprise. There is a lovely river walk about 50 yards from the hotel, which leads to a beautiful park. Thanks to all the staff, who made our stay such an enjoyable one. It was our second visit & we would recommend The Cromwell Arms to anyone.

We held both our wedding breakfast and reception here, and it was nothing short of magical. Every member of staff went above and beyond to make our day feel truly special—thoughtful, attentive, and full of heart. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the food, unanimously rating it a 10 out of 10. Even now, they still rave about the incredible flavours, the seamless service, and the welcoming atmosphere that made the celebration unforgettable. A special mention must go to Sean, the general manager, whose hands-on support and meticulous attention to detail made everything run smoothly. His dedication was evident in every moment, and we felt so well cared for throughout. We genuinely cannot recommend this venue highly enough. It’s a place that doesn’t just host events—it creates memories. We’ll absolutely be back, and we’ll treasure the experience forever.
