Wingate by Wyndham Roseville/Detroit

This location needs some serious updates but it serves its purpose if you're just looking for a simple stay somewhere. Everything is clean. They served expired milk at the breakfast so just pay attention to little things like that. We also didn't have a microwave and had to use one in another room.

I’m not gonna lie, I did not expect better than what I got. I’m cheap and was not willing to pay $100 a night. This hotel backs up to a cemetery. This hotel does have a small gym and a pool, I used neither, personal preference. Room keeping did change my sheets when I was out before 10am. Check out was as simple as dropping my room key off to the front counter.

Okay stay cleaner hotel than most in the area. Busy for breakfast in the morning in the surrounding area. Overall satisfaction with stay and price.

This place is a joke. The breakfast bar was not what the website shows! Hallway carpets smell! Breakfast was only 3 cereals and waffles and bagels every day. No OJ , no fruit, no yogurt. It appears that this hotel rents to homeless. Had to beg for room to be cleaned and new towels. I have pictures of the real kitchen vs. what is on the website. Overall, a low budget hotel, not what I expected from Wyndham which also owns LaQuinta. I stayed at a LaQuinta 2 weeks ago and found that location excellent.

Smelled moldy, room had several spiders and was dirty. Walls were so thin I could hear “EVERYTHING” from the rooms next to me, across from me and above me. No hot tub like advertised.

Good place if you need to be in or near Detroit The Wingate was a fine hotel for me. The room was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was a bit limited, but there was hot food that was tasty. What I was most grateful for was that because we were there for two consecutive nights, we were placed on the top floor without families with small kids on either side of us. We had restful evenings both nights, even with the hotel full of young adults and small children.
