Can not give the staff of Alcock and Brown high enough praise for making a wonderful location and service even better. From the Hotel staff, bar staff, everything was accommodated and all requests worked tooth and nail towards facilitating with fantastic attitude and warm friendly communication upon our stay. They made our stay for the Tour de Connemara even better and would highly recommend to any patron seeking accommodation when travelling through Clifden. Will be booking again for next years event for sure.

Lovely small hotel in the middle of Clifden Co. Galway. We gor an excellent rate for 2 nights b n b. The rooms were comfy could have been better cleaned dirty spoons and stained mugs at tea/coffee station no biscuits my friend in her room had them replenished . Also I had already opened n half full water cartons!!! Breakfast was contential and what an amazing choice everything of highest standard. Delicious home made scones still warm. Fruit was great too. The girl doing the tea n coffee in the morning could be more welcoming! She disappeared this morning leaving guests comming in to no tea n coffee. Some tried to make it from behind the counter.. this needs to have a staff member. Just a few tweats and it would be perfect . Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were fantastic. The rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. The buffet breakfast had something for everyone. Location central and free parking is available underground at the nearby Supervalu. Definitely recommended.

Lovely quaint Hotel, arrived in Clifden on a rainy winter evening, the Hotel is situated right in the centre of the town, so walking distance to pubs & restaurants. The appearance on the outside looks dated but upon entering was surprised. Lovely open gas fire, fabulous chairs & seating area overlooking the town square. Staff so welcoming, bedrooms are lovely, upgraded to a high standard. No Lift unfortunately, but because its only got 2 floors was easy to manoeuvre. Breakfast ( continental) loads variety on offer. Great price for accommodation in a lovely town. Will be back.

Stayed here during motorcycle trip with 2 friends. Tidy enough hotel but at €170 a night and no cooked breakfast available I wont be back! I have to say this is 1st time I have ever stayed in a hotel in Ireland that did not offer a fry in the morning.😳

I booked this hotel as a last-minute option. I have stayed here before so there were no nasty surprises. The hotel is easy to find and is in a great location, right in the middle of Clifden. As always, the staff were pleasant and I had no trouble booking in. My room looked like it had been refurbished and it was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The shower is over a bathtub but it was nice to see a handheld showerhead option alongside the usual fixed one. A few more power outlets wouldn't have gone amiss, though the dinky clock-radio cube device has a couple of USB ports on the top. Speaking of the clock-radio, it went off at 6 am so keep an eye out for that if you book a room there! The hotel doesn't seem to have a lift, so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues or luggage. My biggest bugbear is the breakfast in this hotel. Although I see lots of people praising the great continental breakfast offered here, it is a disappointment that this hotel has given up on serving hot food at breakfast time. I thought this was a hangover from the pandemic but it seems not. If you fancy some scrambled egg or any form of cooked breakfast, you're going to be sorely disappointed. It's unlikely to be an issue when the weather is good but on a colder morning, bowls of cereal and cold sausage rolls just don't hit the spot. Even the toast machine has decided to join in on the act - it barely coloured the crumbs on my bread.
