We arrived at the place around 3 pm and it just started to rain. They have nice and spacious parking lot. The boys were immediately there with an umbrella and whisked us to our cottage. We were two of us and thus had a double cottage. The cottages are very functional with whatever you may need available. The place is a little away from the crowd and nestled amongst Oak trees. To me this is a beautiful setting with birds – both *** made (helicopters) weather permitting of course and natural buzzing around and over you. We were a little hungry and the Paneer maggi with tea was just the meal that we needed. The place is very close (walking distance except Pawan Hans which is 2 km) to all the helipads in Phata. The IRCTC counter is also about the same distance. The staff and the owners are extremely friendly and caring. We were informed by the staff that the operator that we were booked on was not operating the flights and there was no information either from IRCTC or the operator. Anyway that is a different story for another day. The setting was super and you could see the Kedar and other snowclad peaks in the distance. Overall ambience is super and calming. The dinner was simple with a decent but yummy spread and we had the most sumptuous yellow dal tadka. The best part was the friendly staff led by Sachin. We had booked only for a night but the weather god had other plans for us. I had parked my car with all the luggage at the resort while checking out. Our attempts to get to Kedar ji on the first day were futile due to the weather but we were welcomed back to KedaraYatih with smiling faces for another night. Next day we were successful and had very good Darshan. Back to KedaraYatih, this is perhaps the only place nearby with reasonable prices, pristine clean, very functional, super wifi and cellular connectivity and very close to the helipads. It is easy to reach. I was driving a big sedan and after speaking to scores of places in Kedar ji had a little apprehensions on driving the same to Phata helipad and KedaraYatih. But the ride was very smooth without any hiccups. The funny part is that a lot of vehicle drive upto the resort looking for Kestrel helipad which is about 100 yards away every morning. Both Thumby and Global are about 500 yards through very nice road lined with thick trees with constant chirping of birds. This is also a great place if you are waiting at any of the helipads for a quick snack or meal. Overall a wonderful stay with superb hospitality and service with very nice food. We will certainly be back!! Keep up the great work and spirit Rajendera!
