Really tired hotel. The website shows nothing of what the actual hotel is about - shows a classic country house, whereas the hotel proper looks more like a 1980's boarding school, right down to the carpets in the halls! On check in, the FDM and the other receptionist were having a discussion about another member of staff - not quite something to hear when coming in to a hotel. The rooms leave a lot to be desired - small, bland, no "life" to them at all. The tv in our room - 9 - is smaller than a PC monitor, the wifi is pretty much non existent, unless you stand with your phone/laptop up in the air. It was dusty, mould in the bathroom, small beds and generally looking very old. The rest of the hotel itself was not much better - literally everything was dirty, vines growing through windows, rubbish strewn all over, lights left on in conference areas that clearly hadn't been used in a long time. When it comes to food, it wasn't much better. Really basic menu's and staff that didn't seem to know what was going on. On our second night, the waiter informed us that we could only order water and milk (?!?) with dinner! If we wanted anything else, we had to have it in the bar! The grounds of the hotel are really unkept, fish ponds full of reeds and rubbish, its surprising we actually saw a fish swimming! This hotel is a real disappointment. Rather spend your money elsewhere - Premier Inn would give a much better stay!

We attended my cousins wedding here this week and could not be more happy with this service we received! Every member of staff that we came in contact with was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, neat and had everything you could possibly need A special mention to the domestic staff who were very pleasant and gave us extra tea, coffee and biscuits when we asked The receptionist, Ria, who was the first member of staff we came came across was amazing with a great personality and made us even more excited for our days of fun Casey, the young man working in the main bar was great! He was chatty, quick and we had a great laugh with him whilst he poured me and my mum countless passion fruit martinis! He deserves a £200 go outdoors voucher for his outstanding hard work and charm ☺️ We even had the pleasure of having a drink with the boss Stuart, who was lovely and a big fan of M&S Overall we had a wonderful time and couldn’t of asked for more from the facilities and lovely staff, also have to mention the delicious breakfast, self serve with a great selection of food, what more could you want! Would highly recommend

Staying on a wowcher deal. £119 for two nights bed breakfast and two course being meal. Room small but everything you need . Clean and comfortable bed. Evening meal very good. All staff have been very pleasant and helpful. Really don’t know why such bad reviews.. For the money we have paid l think we have a very good deal. Would return.

I had my wedding here! We enjoyed every moment of the day and the prices were very reasonable, I really liked how there were individual businesses managed by the hotel for instance the cake. The staff couldn’t do more for you which included them getting an apple because I mentioned I wanted one as I was hungry. The views are spectacular at the venue and the photos came out really well. The only improvement I would suggest is the bedrooms need updating and maybe putting an air conditioning machine as it was rather hot but we didn’t spend much time in our rooms so this wasn’t a breaking point for us. I would highly recommend Zoe in the weddings team if you are looking at this venue.
