We love staying here and will again. Usually priced right, clean and the beds are so comfortable! However this time there were a few hiccups. The first is our key cards did not work right away, they had to come and reprogram the door, not too big of a deal. Then come to find out, much later after we returned from a night out that the TV was left on demo mode so the side menu kept popping up. Then there was the cleaning lady. She sure was in a hurry to get us out of there. We heard a knock on the door at 8:30am and before we could get there she was coming and announcing herself. Then she came back around again at 10:00am. I thought there was some sort of system hotels had in place to let them know when someone has checked out. Oh well, lesson learned, always put the “Do not disturb” sign up!

The hot tub was disgusting. The floors and carpet were very old and the paint on the roof in the bathroom was peeling. Drain was semi backed up along with the TV acting up. Overall you can tell the property is aged and needs some repairs/maintenance. The customer service was subpar and they made you feel like they didn’t care if you were there or not. They charged for a roll away bed for the little ones, $15. The breakfast was not bad. They also charge you 5 dollars extra on top of your reservation if you use ******* or any other 3rd party for your reservation.

The hotel is obviously aging but seems to be taken care of and kept clean. The worst part is the employees. At check-in we were greeted with an absolutely rude attitude. Not worth staying again to be greeted by that kind of attitude.

We stayed at this hotel because I accidentally made reservations there (similar name to the one I wanted).
There was nothing wrong with it. Check in was easy and pleasant.
The room was clean, everything worked (yay for the heating/ cooling unit!). The hot/ cold was reversed for the shower but they worked just fine. There is a mini fridge, microwave, iron & hair dryer.
The place is remodeled, but there were no USB ports in the room. Thank goodness we've got experience with that and planned ahead! Our Fire Stick worked with the TV.
The breakfast was very mediocre. It's obvious they try to cut costs by using dehydrated eggs and bargain sausage. Everything else was standard "free breakfast" stuff - muffins, English muffins, toast, bananas, waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal. Biscuits & gravy only on weekends, so we didn't get to try those. We ate what was offered and we were thankful for it.
The location was super, with access from 2 streets. Easy to get to all of Ruidoso from there.
Anyway, this hotel didn't win me over as a new favorite but it was nice enough and I could recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was great. The beds are very comfortable. For as much time as you spend in the actual room, you cant beat the price. The breakfast was good too. Location is also great. We will stay here when we come back to Ruiodoso.

Staff was wonderful but room not so much. Hairs in sink, sitting chair stained and our left over dinner went to waste because mini fridge did not work.
