The town is adorable and I wanted to like the hotel. I asked the guy at the front desk if my included dinner was at the same location (they have multiple hotels and eateries in town). Instead of simply saying yes, he used a nasty tone and with seriously accented English told me to "Be Cool!". "Yes" would've have been 1 syllable fewer and not have tried to put me in my place. Why????

The restaurant experience was nothing short of excellent: food sourced locally , varied and cooked to perfectiob (trout, beef, veg, cheese, fruit ...) and the staff incredibly attentive to service. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. It's a 5/5 for us!

Wonderful 2 night stay in this unique and charming hotel. The staff couldn’t have done more to make us feel special. Our room was spacious modern and clean. We enjoyed a wholesale and would heartedly recommend the local beef in their excellent restaurant. Many thanks for your advice on walking routes.

We were a group of 5 from Australia and stayed one night while walking Le Puy Camino at the end of May 2024. The service was excellent as was the rooms, dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend as a place to stay whilst in St Chely D’Aubrac. Thank you for your hospitality.

Walking the route of St Jacques in the Aubrac region hotels are a bit hit and miss! Here we found an excellent little hotel, vety clean and comfortable. We were welcomed by the charming owners who were both from the North of France. After a frink in tje bar we sat doxn to an excellent dinner using delicious local produce. We slept well and continued our walk after a very good and lentiful breakfast. Very recome ded if you are in the area.

This is an excellent, small, family run hotel in St Chely. I had a problem with my foot while walking the Chemin St Jacques so stayed here for two nights to rest it. My room was nicely designed and up under the rafters on the top floor. I had a lovely view over the village and the nearby hills. Everything was new, in excellent working order, and extremely clean. The one thing that stood out to me was the food - my room was half-board so dinner came with the price. Their dishes are typical Aveyron cuisine and the owner told me that all of their ingredients are locally sourced - this is obvious when you sit down for a meal. The dinner I had on my second night there was one of the best I’ve had in France. Local sausage with a garlic/tomato sauce, potatoes with a cream sauce made of local cheese and herbs, and a chocolate mousse for dessert that was out of this world. I’ve had many meals in this country and this one will stand out in my memory! If you need to stay in this beautiful small town, I highly recommend this place!

Day 2 on the Chemin de St Jacques we slept and ate here. Bedroom accomodation very comfortable with all that we needed. Walking boots kept separately downstairs to make sure all areas of the hotel kept clean. Food at dinner a fixed menu but with good choices. Whether to have dessert or not was not an option one had to order - what hardship !! Food all very good and plentiful just what was needed after a day of trekking. Breakfast an open buffet with many choices of fruit bread juice etc. Coffee tea and hot chocolate all freely available . Staff all very pleasant and helpful during our stay. Extremly efficiently run hotel and bar. One to recommend.
