Le Moulin Du Port is clearly an wonderful place to stay when in the Loire Valley region. Alexandra, the owner, provided a thorough introduction to the common areas and my room upon my arrival. All areas were clean, tidy, and tastefully decorated. The breakfast area has plenty of windows to let in indirect light in the mornings. Set on a fairly large lot next to the river, the surrounding garden is pleasant and relaxing. While the town St Georges is fairly small, the larger town of Montrichard is close by with all the necessary stores and services. Le Moulin Du Port is perfectly situated with chateau of Chambord, Chenonceau, Amboise and Blois nearby. I will try to stay there again, the next time I am in the area.

Le Moulin du Port has been beautifully renovated to a first class guest house. We stayed in theTherese room and especially loved the view of the river . Alexandra is an excellent host providing us with any information we needed. Her breakfast was full of choice, local products and home baked bread and waffles. Excellent. We will return again.

A perfect two night stay at this gem of a hotel. Beautiful, unique rooms, comfy beds, clean bathrooms. A lovely swimming pool. A superb breakfast with organic and local products. Alexandria was a perfect host and helped us book some great restaurants.

Aan de rivier de Cher ligt het charmante verblijf te midden van veel groen. Bij het karakteristieke huis hoort een authentieke watermolen. Dit historisch monument is nog intact en via de glazen deur in de woonkamer te zien. Kamer Aline, met uitzicht op de Cher, is ruim en comfortabel. Het afgesloten parkeerterrein, stalling voor de fietsen, diverse zithoekjes in de tuin en het zwembad maken het plaatje compleet. De gedekte ontbijttafel met diverse soorten brood, jam, eieren, kaas (uit de regio), ham, yoghurt, sap en altijd een speciaal gebakken lekkernij is tot-in-de-puntjes verzorgd. We verblijven er 6 nachten. Alexandra geeft veel informatie omtrent het dorp, de regio en de restaurants. Dat maakt ons bezoek aan de Loire en de Cher tot een complete beleving. Alexandra en Pascal ontvangen de gasten met hart en ziel, daar houden wij van. Merci!!!!!

Deux nuits extrêmement apaisantes au son du Cher qui coule sous les fenêtres, immense lit confortable, petit-déjeuner délicieux et copieux, décor enchanteur et décoration superbe : Alexandra a fait de ce séjour une parenthèse enchantée !

Nous avons adoré cette maison, où l'on se sent autant invités privilégiés que comme chez soi. Alexandra et son mari sont des hôtes très sympathiques, les petits déjeuners un vrai régal, la chambre Thérèse aussi jolie qu'agreable avec une mention toute particulière pour la literie et la douche, et le cadre magnifique, quel plaisir qu'avoir cette vue sur la verdure en permanence ! Sans parler de la localisation avec le château de chenonceau accessible à pied.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable en famille au Moulin du Port. Alexandra est très accueillante et apporte une grande attention à ce que la maison soit confortable, avec un excellent petit-déjeuner. Les chambres sont charmantes et l'environnement de la maison paisible. Le tout constitue un excellent choix pour visiter les nombreux châteaux et sites de la région.

Mooie authentieke B&B op geweldige locatie. Als je de ramen open doet hoor je het ruizen van het water van de rivier de Cher. Mooie tuin met over de tuin verspreide zitjes. Ruime kamers en het ontbijt was heerlijk. Alles heel duurzaam. Mooie uitvalbasis voor een fietstocht of een wandeling langs de Cher of een kasteelbezoek. Nogmaals bedankt Alexandra voor de hartelijke ontvangst.
