This hotel is in a great location to explore the Saint Germain En Laye area. It is in a beautiful setting overlooking the river with distant views of Paris. The entrance is via that car park. I stayed in room 309, which had a limited side view. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The dining room has panoramic views of the area and distant Paris, which was lovely. The breakfast did not match the other features of the hotel. The hot choice was limited and cold. It's a shame as the view was so nice but the food did not tempt me to sit and enjoy the view. The reception and waiting staff were very welcoming. All in all. It's a nice hotel in a beautiful location.

Great views; quiet location yet easy walk to centre ville; great parkland setting with stunning views across to Paris; easy access to central Paris via RER

The property sits on top of the hill overlooking Paris so you get great views across the city and sunrise across Paris from the dining room is a good view in the morning. The property itself is very grand although faded in places. Of the options in Saint Germain its is definitely one of the better places to stay.

Checked in at the end of June for 3 nights but decided to leave the very next day as the AC in the room wasn’t working, the replacement fan brought by staff and left in the room didn’t work either, they hadn’t even bothered to plug it in and check. Finally got one that did. Despite calling ahead about our arrival time the room still wasn’t ready for another 30 mins after we arrived in the evening. The floor has been recently painted and the room should never have been let out till the smell of paint had cleared away. There were no dinner reservations available for residents due to a wedding. Breakfast was supposed to finish at 10am but the scrambled eggs had finished by 9.30 and the staff response was a shrug of the shoulders. On the plus side, the receptionist who checked us in did not charge us for the breakfast! Overall, I’m glad I moved to another property. Did leave all this feedback with the staff upon departure - let’s hope they improve as it is a nice property.

An upscale property, with very big sized rooms. Well maintained property with fantastic views of the city. Rooms on floor 1 and floor 2 do not have Air Conditioning. This was a bit weird for a hotel of their stature. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Breakfast is extremely basic and needs major improvements.

Pavillion Henri was amazing! It is a historic building, so its good to set expectations (as in no AC) but the bathrooms were brand new and the staff were all absolutely wonderful. Most spoke English as well as French (which was relaxing as my French is non-existent), the property is breathtaking, and close to the village to walk in just a few minutes. Just a 30 min train ride into Paris Central and great wifi (i work on the road, so this is essential). next time I visit Paris, I will absolutely be back!

The location is very closed (5-min walk) to the RER station which is 30 min to Champs-Elysee. You could have a casual pick of a cozy cafe & enjoy your breakfast with a book and walk across the neigbourhood there. If you stay there during Sunday, the Sunday market in its square is definitely worth-visiting. Also, Pavillon Henri IV is the place where Louis XIV born. Such a heritage! It also locates on the top where gives itself a stunning bird view of the town. Moreover, it conjuncts to a beautiful park with wide panorama of French style royal garden style. The entity itself keeps very well in elegance. I stayed here for my friend's wedding lunch banquet. The restaurant is decorated in a royal french style. All staff (the receptionists, catering staff and cleaning ladies) are professional with friendly care. Though my room is a bit small, I have no complain at all. I have enjoyed a lot during my stay here. Merci!

We had a lovely quiet room. Modern spotless shower room. We left the car in the car park to go into central Paris by RER, which was only a short walk away. The French breakfast was adequate.

Celebrating a big birthday for my wife I paid to stay in a suite in this hotel having done research our expectations were high. Position of hotel is good along with views if you are lucky to get a room with one. However all goodwill was lost when arriving for pre dinner drinks at the bar on a Saturday night there was nobody around. Twice I had to go in search of staff just to serve us a drink. Others guests experienced the same, not what we expected. Our food was very mediocre, expensive and accompanied by a very expensive bottle of wine there being no other choice. On both days at breakfast we had to ask for more pastries in the self help area and the rest of the breakfast offerings were very basic. We left a notice on our door handle for the room to be serviced but nothing had been done on our return nor any note left explaining why. For us the worst experience was a constant smell of cigarettes coming into our room at all hours of the day and night. This is supposed to be a no smoking hotel. At checkout I was charged for breakfast which we had prepaid but the receptionist argued with me saying “ that everybody pays for breakfast “. She eventually went to the office behind to return saying yes it had been prepaid but no apology offered for her attitude towards me. This hotel plays on its position with views over the Seine valley and its link to a royal birth. In fact this is the only original part of the building - a small damp dark room and if that is what you want then stay. However the aloofness and arrogance of most of the staff makes this venue an expensive mistake for many to stay there. Getting a reply from the hotel manager M.Mornas after a six day wait he made apologies but offered no reason for the above basic problems. My suggestion of a discount on what we had paid went without any further reply reinforcing my view of the arrogance of the hotel staff. Coming from a background in the travel industry where I have stayed continuously in hotels worldwide for over forty years I feel I am very qualified to make comment. There are many other hotels at a lower cost with much better service to choose from, I suggest you steer clear of this hotel and stay elsewhere.
