This was our first trip to Barbados and we were thrilled that we chose this wonderful small hotel "far from the madding crowd" for our stay! Actually not so far.. pretty much 30 minute drive in any direction to see the sights, so for us an ideal setting offering a breathtaking view in every direction, crashing waves on a spectacular coast, private pool, great onsite restaurant and bar, superb staff, easy parking, and a completely private resort feeling. We DID have a car and it is pretty much essential if you want to enjoy the rest of the island. We had wonderful side trips to Worthing, Crane, Fish Pot, St Nicholas, Round House, Rockley, and enjoyed the North Coast Ermy Bourne Highway. There are a couple of restaurants you can walk to as well.. We made a point to be back to our hotel by dark because we are over 70 and did not want to drive the roads at night.. but day time driving not a problem. The hotel is very comfortable, clean, has a/c in bedrooms, lovely public areas, common kitchen guests can use, but slightly dated hence "historic". We loved it!

One of our best vacations ever -- very nice, helpful staff --shout-out to Antonio, Javon, Ophia, Tyrell, Chantelle, Tanisha (pardon any misspellings) -- wonderful ocean view, super comfortable bed, excellent food and service -- Bajans are some of the friendliest people anywhere -- if you're coming from the U.S. and renting a car, be warned that driving in Barbados is a major challenge -- watch videos about this before you come -- hope to be back one day -- Val and Celeste

We had stayed at Atlantis several times in the past and always like popping in when we are in Barbados . Went for lunch about a week ago , it was lovely ,a sunny day , sat looking at that wonderful view of the lively sea whilst eating the best mahi mahi we had in Barbados visiters to the island will know this is the ubiquitas fish which we ate in several places this holiday , the friendly manager remembered us and gave us a nice welcome . We planned next year to once again spend a few days here -a unique place quite unlike the west coast -or the east for that matter . Rooms are quite large and well kept , with of course the views .

We loved this spot. The staff is so friendly. It’s incredibly quiet and calm. It’s clean and cheery. Exactly what we were looking for. The breeze off the ocean makes every day feel perfect. Lots of great food at the Atlantis restaurant and in the area. Thank you to Antonio and the staff!

Visited here today on a visit to Bathsheba. Staff were so friendly. Amazing views over the beach and had a great flying fish sandwich and fries. Cannot fault the pina coladas. Thank you. We will return on our next visit to Barbados. Interesting railway historic pics too

Sunday Brunch is very good! Our server, Chantal was excellent.. Everyone was offered a delicious soup to start, then we enjoyed a lovely buffet. Honestly, since there is a maximum seating time of 2 hr per table, we would have liked to have lingered over our drinks a bit, but felt we were rushed to begin our meal. Staff were very friendly. Food was very good & desserts were just delicious. We finished over an hour before our taxi was to pick us up. Since our table was booked for someone else, Chantal said we could wait in the lounge. She checked on us a couple of times ( we both have mobility challenges) & kindly offered to call our driver to ask if he could pick us up earlier. Her actions & kindness were truly appreciated.

We spent the first two nights of our Barbados holiday and this lovely Inn. It was the perfect way to start our holiday to decompress and the experience the beauty of the unspoilt East Coast. We had a lovely room. Staff were friendly and the food is really good. Highly recommend.

Sadly this hotel is not at its best. It needs serious investment which is not happening as it is for sale. The place has no soul, the furnishings are sparce and the toilet facilities have not been updated in years. So it is understandable that the staff in the restaurant appear not to care. We had a couple of drinks and some Calamari, which was pretty good. It did all seem a dreadful effort for the serving staff though
