Ours Blanc Hotel & Spa

The Ours Blanc hotel is a brilliant hotel, comfortable and welcoming with a delightful staff team. The arrangements for skiing are as good as they get. Well located boot room with easy access to the piste and lifts below. Each locker has heated boot pegs. The bedroom is comfortable and well laid out with good storage arrangements and pegs for coats. There are a number of different interesting/comfortable social spaces to relax and meet fellow skiers, with usual bar and free hot drinks machine with nearby fizzy and still water on tap. There are some nice spaces for kids to chill out too. The occasional afternoon cake and pre dinner musical or magical moments were delightful. There were occasions when the restaurant could have been led and managed more efficiently. Would recommend.

Just returned from a wonderful week at Ours Blanc and have booked again for next year. The hotel has a lovely vibe, friendly staff, lovely rooms and wonderful spa. We enjoyed our half board package with a good variety on offer every breakfast and evening. Nothing better than returning from the slopes to the well kept boot room, a dip in the pool and a sauna before chilling in the bar and dinner. Can't wait to come back!

This was our fifth holiday at Ours Blanc , and the second under the new ownership. We were disappointed by a few things on our first stay under the new ownership but there have been big improvements since then . The location of the hotel is hard to beat, true ski in / ski out and there is more space in the restaurant and (newly carpeted) boot room to accommodate the extension of the rooms. The buffet in the evening has been improved we liked the flexibility of eating as much or as little as we wanted , allowing us to enjoy eating on the mountain at lunchtime. The spa is ideal for soothing aches and pains after a full day skiing. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. We can’t wait to return next year ,hopefully. My only request would be for more comfortable pillows 🙏

We have just come back from our first stay at L'Ours Blanc and we must say that it was fantastic!! The car park was easily accessible with ample parking spaces available (I would recommend having snow chains for the days that it is icy or slushy as the drive is a little steep). We arrived at the check in desk to be warmly greeted by the manager and told that we were given a complimentary room upgrade which was very much appreciated after our long drive. Our room was spacious with a nice sized balcony with a beautiful view over the mountains looking towards Cime de Caron. The housekeeping staff were very attentive and left our room spotless with fresh sheets every day. The buffet food was delicious with a different menu each evening. We were slightly concerned with reading previous reviews about the food but I can confidently say that the food was superb with a great variety. There was also a great selection of food for breakfast too. My only little comment on the breakfast is that if you sit in the conservatory area I found that my food went cold quickly but that isn't surprising given that it is surrounded by glass so I would recommend that you sit in the main restaurant, this wasn't an issue in the evening as the curtains get drawn which keeps the heat in. The facilities on site were great with a beautiful spa, bar area, library and snug area above the library. The ski lockers were great with ample space for our ski stuff with the added bonus of having ski boot warmers in the locker which we weren't expecting! Due to the weather and poor visibility there were a couple of days where we chose not to ski but we took full advantage of the free shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes into Les Menuires town, from there we got another free bus into Val Thorens. A couple of times we decided to stroll down down to Les Menuires which is well worth the walk (around 20/25 minutes walk). Overall, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at L'Ours Blanc, the staff have made our stay here very pleasurable and their hospitality has been second to none. Nothing has been too much trouble for them and they take a genuine interest in how our day has been and very chatty. It was lovely that a lot of staff remembered our conversations from days prior. We would recommend L'Ours Blanc to everybody and we shall certainly be returning in the future.
