"Service: The attitude of the front desk staff, looking at you sideways, is really disgusting. Hygiene: The bathroom is smelly, and there is a restaurant downstairs, which is a bit noisy at night. Facilities: An older hotel. Environment: The biggest advantage is that it is in the city center, you can see the sea right at the port when you go out, but there is nothing else good about it."

"Arrived 11th May stayed until 14th May room lovely and clean as was hotel .No food available the first evening sign was in reception informing guests.Hotel very well positioned within walking distance to seafront and St Peter Port .There is a bus stop by hotel and a Waitrose supermarket which is open until 8pm.On our last evening we booked the meal deal offer as the menu in our room said main meals from that could be chosen .On going down to eat we were given a print paper menu which was totally different and was mainly curries and burgers and you could have sirloin steak at extra cost which we had as we didn't want burgers or curries food was okay .Breakfast was a buffet for the cooked breakfast the bacon was cold and eggs had congealed, the continental selection was very good"

"We stayed here for the Guernsey Marathon weekend. It was the second cheapest hotel on the island for those dates, so it’s worth keeping that in mind when comparing prices. Unfortunately, we had to change rooms shortly after arriving because the bathroom light in our first room wasn’t working. In the second room, there was quite a bit of noise from above. The staff explained it was coming from accommodation used by staff from a nearby restaurant, and they eventually spoke to them, which resolved the issue. Breakfast was perfectly fine, but nothing particularly memorable. One thing we didn’t appreciate before booking was just how steep the walk up to the hotel is. If you don’t enjoy walking uphill or have mobility issues, it’s something to consider. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, if hotel prices are high when we next visit Guernsey, we wouldn’t hesitate to consider staying here again, as it offered reasonable value for the price."

"Have just returned from St Peter Port, stayed at La Piette, what a great choice we made! Such a lovely, homely hotel with great staff who could not have been more friendly and helpful! (Special mention to Ian on reception, Jen in the restaurant (and everywhere else!) and the the smiley Irish barman and the young breakfast waitress who’s names we never asked, sorry. The food was extremely well cooked and beautifully presented, the menu wasn’t extensive but there was plenty of choice and it was fairly priced. Our rooms were spacious and clean with very comfortable beds, cleaned/tidied daily. The outside beer garden presented the perfect end to a busy day and seemed pretty popular. It was a brisk 15 minute flat walk into the main town with loads to do there. The trip to Herm was fabulous (we had great weather), Hautville House was worth the visit, even if it shows as full online it’s worth asking at the door, we were lucky. All together a great 4 day break in a lovely hotel. Thank you all so much!"

"Beautiful hotel just in the outskirts of St Peter Port. Immaculate presentation and delightful staff. We ate in the hotel the first night and breakfasted three times. The food and staff attention were just right. The room was nice with a good bed and lovely balcony overlooking the grounds. No problem parking at the front. Excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Nice seaweed toiletries I'd definitely stay there again."
