I had a wonderful 3 nights stay in this hotel. Choose this place because of late arrival at Gatwick Airport plus departure from there as well. Easy to go to London central and Brighton via train. The room was huge and the bed was comfortable. The amenities were well provided. Also, the staff was so nice to give me a late check out since my flight has late departure.

Picked this hotel as it is very close to Gatwick North Terminal, only 2 minute walk away.
I checked in and was first assigned a room, I walk in and it had not been cleaned at all, towels on the floor, bed not made and bottles opened on the table. I went back to reception and they were very nice and apologetic, they kindly told me that they have upgraded my room and apologised for the inconvenience. The new room which I was assigned looked very much like the room I had paid for, not sure what the upgrade was, but at least it was clean this time.
In terms of the price, it’s very expensive but what the hotel lacks in cleanliness, it makes up for in location. I’ll probably save my money next time and stay at the Premier Inn across the road.

After a long journey back to the UK, arriving back at 11pm, it was so nice to know we had booked Sofitel Hotel for a comfortable night’s sleep. I’ve stayed there several times and know what a great hotel it is and how close it is to Gatwick North Terminal.

A hotel just next to the Gatwick North Terminal with private passage linking up the airport and hotel. There is a platform at the first floor with reception and restaurants/bar. Although it is just next to the terminal, the room is so quiet that you can have a good sleep!
A very good location for transit passengers.

Mother / Daughter holiday with flight departing very early the following morning. Would willingly stay again at a Sofitel Hotel again & would highly recommend. Excellent soundproofing - no aircraft noise at all. We did not eat or use any of the facilities due to the fact that our overnight stay was less than 8 hours. Well appointed classic room & shower room. Staff were polite, professional and well groomed.

Being one of the two hotels which is connected to the north terminal is the only reason we returned to this hotel after popping by Zürich for the weekend. Hospitality is non-existent here and the band of staff at the concierge will do all they can to avoid eye contact. Our first room had a ridiculously soft bed and faulty AC but staff responded with an indifferent “sorry, well inform maintenance about it”.

The room had a lovely big window and the hotel was perfectly positioned for easy access to the airport early the next morning. The room was comfortable and had all that you needed. It was spotlessly clean. A very comfortable start to our holiday - would definitely stay there again.
