We visited on locals night but we tend to stay most Wednesday nights . I wanted to give a shout out to the food last night : 3 courses of outstanding food for £18. Our dog Lucy never wants to leave and all the staff are so friendly . I cannot recommend it enough .

The room was smaller than we anticipated but we were very comfortable. The room and bathroom were spotless (although the glass shelf in the ensuite was missing). The food was good and the service was attentive. We loved the character of the pub and the location is fabulous.

Stopped off for a bite to eat with the family. What a lovely place! Very traditional and welcoming. Cleanliness is tip top, especially the bathrooms. As I was the driver, it was nice to find a selection of non alcoholic drinks including larger on draft. Our server was polite, knowledgeable and attentive. Outside space is great also. Will definitely be back.

Our family arranged a surprise double birthday celebration for my husband and I. Many of our friends and family attended. It was a great evening with an amazing buffet - which everyone raved about - lovely private room. Staff were very discreet coming in, helping and clearing things. We were not rushed to leave, even lending us umbrellas to walk home in the rain. Nothing too much trouble.

Great food and wine list and comfy rooms, but it is the team who really make it. Breakfast is especially good! The dinner menu is better than the average gastro pub, wines are sensibly priced and the dining rooms have all of the charm of those many hundred years.

Lovely lunch with my wife and 1 year old diaghter. Food was great quality pub food. Reasonably priced, too! Lovely setting. All the staff were lovely, and Hayley made us feel welcomed and put a smile on our face. I can highly recommend the lamb to people!

Fantastic food, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, unique and charming rooms, and lovely staff. Located in a beautiful village with fantastic walks and close to the beautiful city of Salisbury. Perfect for a weekend getaway with friends or family.
