Ugh, this hotel felt like a guesthouse in the old town. Don't expect much comfort. Its biggest advantage is its location among the most beautiful buildings, perfect for taking photos right outside. The service was also good. However, I couldn't stand two things: 1. the shower water; 2. the housekeeping.
These two issues alone were unbearable, so I tried to check out early but was refused. They wouldn't refund over 2000 baht, so I moved to the Fasano Hotel. But I didn't experience those two issues. I still think hotels in the old town have excellent locations.
However, note that you have to carry your luggage up a very narrow ladder, and taxi parking is also very cramped. But that's the old town, after all. As for the shower water, there's no way to deal with it; it's an electric heater, the water pressure is low, and it's cold. This is unavoidable. I personally couldn't stand it, which is why I moved. But I hope the hotel improves, because it's very cheap, which is perfect for backpackers.
