Great hotel with understated elegance and a real touch of luxury. On my recent trip to Uzbekistan, I stayed in several different affordable hotels and guest houses, Hotel Caravan Serail was by far the best one. The cost per night was a little higher than the other places that I stayed but boy what a difference a few extra euros made! The room was super clean and elegant. The bed is very comfortable. Everything was very well maintained. The staff too were excellent, there was a slight mixup with my room initially, but it was dealt with very quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this hotel as a great option for an affordable place to stay and if I ever visit Samarkand again, I would definitely book this hotel without hesitation. I only stayed one night but wish I had been longer. Oh, the breakfast is pretty good too!

Staffs are friendly especially the one that is assigned in day time who always makes us coffee during our 3 days stay.. Kodus also to the lady (chef) who brought us pancake and toast bread during breakfast! 👌
but the other staff at night shift is a bit unfriendly.. Place is aesthetic even though location is not so ideal. Wifi is so bad and Smart Tv is not updated so we still need to set up the TV in order for us to be able to use Netflix and youtube. Overall, its still good!

The hotel is located in the old part of the city. 5 minutes to the shops, 10 minutes to the sights on foot. The room is clean, everything is there. Hot water is intermittent, early spring is cool in the room. They said something with the gas boiler. Breakfasts are modest, but you will not leave hungry. We only slept in the room, all day on an excursion, so we liked everything.

Convenient location, within walking distance from Registan Square. Very attentive staff 5⭐. Delicious breakfasts. The rooms are clean, but very modest, reminiscent of rooms in a sanatorium. Of the + on the roof there is a massandra, where it is pleasant to sit in the evening.

I was glad that I could use the heater here without any problems, since I had stayed at a cold hotel the day before and the heater didn't work.
The shower room didn't have a door, so the bathroom floor got flooded, which was a pain.
The watermelon and melon for breakfast were delicious. The hotel staff made coffee for us☕️
