We always go to Club Med for NYE week and we decided to try Samoens as it was a fairly new club med only 1h away from Geneva. The club is beautiful and very modern and the rooms were very confortable with amazing views over looking the mountains. The problem was that this club med opens 1st week of december which means that the staff is "not ready" for the season and Xmas and NYE weeks are the busiest weeks of the year! Consequences... if you did not go to eat at 7pm when the restaurant opened you could not get a table and had to wait for a couple of hours to get seated. During NYE if you did not have a reservation same situation, having done NYE in other club med the buffet was a bit dosappointing although the chef de village was quite generous with champagne and fireworks. The club med is on the slope and the spa / swimming pool facilities were great although as per every single club med the pool was too cold. We had an issue with our room booking as we booked a family room (as per Marrakech) and ended up in a room for mobility - it was rather disappointing that the system re-allocated us this room as everything was fully booked and we had no idea. The chef de village was very good woth dealing with the issue and gave us the room we wanted half way through the trip. Overall the price of this week in club med is very pricey and the service should be top notch and it was not thats why 3 stars

We spent a week at Club Med Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon in July and were very satisfied with our stay. The spacious bar and theatre area, along with the terrace offering a beautiful mountain view, were definite highlights. The terrace is partly covered, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy even in rainy weather. As we were travelling with a two-month-old baby, we especially appreciated how stroller-friendly the resort is. The paved path around the property was ideal for walks in good weather, and the covered part of the terrace was very useful on rainy days. Special thanks to the Kids Club team, especially Simone and Tom, for their kindness and care towards our daughters (7 and 9 years old). Despite the language barrier (the girls speak little French) they felt included and well looked after. We also very much appreciated the attention from Bruno, the manager responsible for Gold and Platinum guests. He was very helpful. Thank you to the whole team for a lovely holiday!

Where to begin? We previously stayed here in 2019 and had a wonderful holiday so had high hopes for our return visit. Sadly we could not have been more disappointed. The hotel has gone downhill in every respect and our experience this time was terrible. For context, we were a family of 4 with two teenagers (17 and 14). Restaurant/Food: The buffet restaurant was totally shambolic. Finding a table was almost impossible. Large numbers of tables had reserved signs for chalet guests (who often didn’t show) or tables were left dirty and uncleared. We frequently had to ask for cutlery, glasses and sort out our own drinks. Experiencing this chaos 3 times a day meant we dreaded meal-times. Often we were sat right next to staff also having their meal which felt really weird given we had not received any restaurant service whatsoever. The food was bland and repetitive and often inedible or cold (eg. burnt steak haches, lumpy mashed potatoes, watery bolognese, undercooked eggs, dried out pork, gristly steak). A promised birthday cake for my husband (that I’d emailed and arranged with the hotel) never materialised. For New Year's Eve, we were told if we pre-ordered wine/champagne (charged at full menu price) then we would have a reserved table. On arrival, none of the staff could find our table and they suggested other guests had removed the sign and had sat down (which I'm sure wasn't the case). It was clear from the large numbers of other irate guests waiting for tables that the reservation system had totally failed. It just felt like a greedy money making experience. Gourmet Restaurant: We were told on our first day it was fully booked for the entire week. How? Eventually we were offered a table for our penultimate night. Our experience was absolutely shocking. Way worse than the buffet restaurant, something we didn’t think was possible! The majority of the dishes on the small menu were unavailable. Two of us had to skip starters. We had to request basic cutlery. The fondue for 4 would barely have fed 2 people (see photos). Only my children were offered a dessert and then eventually were told their dessert was ‘unavailable’. The restaurant looked tacky with cheap tables, no tablecloths, paper napkins and battered clipboard menus. The very opposite of gourmet. Bar/Entertainment: This had been a highlight of our previous stay. But the shows were utterly bizarre and inappropriate. On NYE, we inexplicably had a ‘Viking’ show complete with a burning village backdrop. Another evening, we had giant lit up robots with wings (you had to be there) and on our final night, a show where the Club Med staff lip-synced (very badly) to songs. After the shows finished at 9.45/10pm, we had the same medley of Club Med songs EVERY single night followed by dance techno which was so deafening that the huge bar totally emptied and families just took themselves off to the lobby area with their drinks/card games. Most of the people left dancing in the bar (and having a grea

Apologies in advance for the long review—but we truly feel we have to highlight what an amazing experience we had at Club Med Grand Massif Chalets this past January 2025. We were a family of six, and from start to finish, every detail of our stay exceeded expectations. The chalet was absolutely beautiful—modern, warm, and perfectly suited for a family. It gave us the privacy and comfort of a luxurious home base, with all the perks of a world-class resort. The views of the mountains from our living room were something out of a postcard. What made the biggest impact, though, was the incredible concierge team. They were consistently helpful, proactive, and kind—going above and beyond to make our stay seamless and stress-free. From organizing ski lessons and lift passes to making restaurant reservations and offering helpful tips, they did it all with warmth and genuine care. Our kids had the best time ever at the Kids Club. The staff there were phenomenal—fun, nurturing, and completely committed to making the experience magical for each child. Knowing our kids were happy and well cared for allowed us parents to truly relax and enjoy our time, which is priceless. And let’s talk about the skiing—just perfect. The mountain itself is spectacular, with a wide variety of runs for all levels. It was never too crowded, even during high season, and the ski-in/ski-out convenience from the chalet made everything effortless. The snow was great, the atmosphere lively but not overwhelming, and the views were just unreal. We’ve stayed at a number of ski resorts over the years, but this was by far our favorite. It struck that rare balance between luxury, comfort, family-friendliness, and pure alpine fun. We loved it so much that we’ve already booked our January 2026 ski trip—we knew right away we’d be coming back. Thank you, Club Med Grand Massif, for such a wonderful and memorable holiday. We can’t wait to return!

We are a family with 3 children aged 8 and under. I was slightly worried ahead of the trip due to some of the reviews here but we had an incredible stay. The food, skiing, kids club, hotel rooms and facilities were all amazing and everything was so well organised. Shout out to Pascal, Jason and team for always being so helpful and friendly and our ski instructor Nicolas for great lessons and local info! We will definitely be back next year.

I was hesitant to go to CM Grand Massif after reading some reviews however it was a great trip. There was plenty of food, space, easy to get drinks and tables at dinner and despite it being a holiday in Paris, there was plenty room on the slopes. Our room was great, cleaned every day and towels refreshed. The separate bedroom for the kids was a winner as well. Further: - be prepared to wait for up to 3 hours at the airport if in a shared transport option - The ski/snowboard lessons are more of a guided tour than actual instruction (I am sure that this is dependent on the instructor too but be prepared.) I would go back and recommend to others.

We spent a memorable week at Grand Massif Samoëns. Everything is taken care of, and the only thing you need to do is to ski or to relax. Special attention goes to the mini club people, who worked non stop to make kids happy. I definitely recommend it.

Sorry for the long review. I am not a person to check the 1-star reviews as I believe that everyone has a different experience. Still, I wish I had with this hotel and the way Club Med has evolved from a company which I shouted about as the best and the best experience and although it is more expensive than most it was worth it, it has changed!! I waited to leave a review until I got a response from Club Med. Costing over £14k for a family of 4, the value was very disappointing and unfortunately won’t be repeated with Club Med The appalling lack of service throughout the whole trip Upon arrival in Geneva, we were greeted and directed to wait in an area with a group of people from different flights. After over an hour a bus turned up but was full, so we were told we had to wait for the next one. The uncaring GM said "This is the way it is", and we have to wait. We chose an earlier flight to get to the resort so we could get our equipment. We got the second bus after a bit of a walk, and another hour later, we got on our way. At the hotel we sat for 40 minutes on the bus because of the queue of buses arriving. People got off and walked and left the bags on the bus. Hotel Reception Incompetent throughout. Checked in with a GM, who said he would call us when the room was ready; to this day, he never called. We grabbed some food and waited and waited. I went back to the reception, and we got the room by which time the ski shop had closed. The Ski shop – the que was huge so another 3 hours to get of skis. Kids 14 & 17 booked for ski school, which was missed. The next day, that was the only day they attended. the were too many in the groups for 1 instructor, and they left a younger child in the group on the mountain. The parents were frantic. So that was the end of that for us, not so much for the 17-year-old who could look after himself, but for my 14-year-old. We were not confident that they could look after our children on the mountain. We previously stayed in 2019 and had an amazing holiday, and I couldn’t praise Club Med enough. The company has gone massively downhill in every respect, from food to the quality of staff. Food: The buffet restaurant was shambolic. Finding a table was almost impossible. Large numbers of tables had reserved signs for chalet guests or tables were left dirty and uncleared. We frequently had to ask for cutlery and glasses, and no chance of getting a drink off the staff. We hated mealtimes, but there was only one other choice, which, on the first day, was fully booked for the week. After my insistence on seeing the manager, he said he would speak to the restaurant and call us back. To this day, he never has. Shocking! My wife, annoyed, went back to the reception and spoke to another manager who said he would speak to the restaurant. She waited until he did although he did try and get rid of her saying he would call. We got into the top floor restaurant on the last night, and although it was table servic
