Room was fine, would have been better to have a proper curtain for the window though. they offer food and drinks to very affordable prices, which you can enjoy from the terrace with lake view. Drinking water is for free. And they also have motorbikes for rent. Pretty good offer for the money you pay.

The vibe is quiet and laid-back ideal for anyone wanting to unwind, enjoy nature, and take in the views of Lake Toba. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the rooms are simple but comfortable. Whether you're staying a night or a month, Sibayak makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment. Highly recommended for a tranquil getaway!

This was one of the most horrible experiences i have ever had! First of all rooms were disgusting and in a sketchy basement area. Lot's of dust, dead spiders on thr walls, alive spiders underneath the mattress, no net, no fan, old furniture to the point where you are like inside of a dead ship, ants on the mattress, holes on the door so mosquitos are guaranteed of a feast, no hot water, stains on the towel and ripped pillows. DISGUSTING! I would say the sheets looked clean (ants aside) but with the scenario around it? I can only imagine... The worst part is that I tried to reason with the owner and wanted a better room or at least my money back but he was so so so rude! I was trying to help him improve his own service but he didn't care the least. In the end he actually told me in the rudest way possible to get out. I will never but ever try this "guest house" again.. and neither should other people. At least until it gets a make over and a proper manager.
