Spark by Hilton San Antonio Dominion

The hotel is in poor shape and in need of renovation. The furniture in the room was beat up and needs to be replaced. the bathtub was chipped and stained and dead bugs on the floor. The breakfast was mediocre.

Guest service double charged me after mistaken me for someone else. They did not feel confident taking my card after that for the pet fee at the property and asked for cash confirming they had change on hand. They in fact did not and wrote an IOU for the remainder where I had to hope that I got it back. The room was unsanitary and the chairs and table in the room were not able to be used. Upon check out the did in fact not have the change for me so the front desk rep took the change out of her own wallet because management did not see this IOU that was written on the sticky note.

Nothing like the pictures, I usually read reviews but didn’t this time. Like all previous reviews state, this hotel is very rundown and the rooms are pretty bad. 1st room we checked into reeked of urine and 2nd room was very rough looking and desk chair was all torn up. We would’ve changed hotels if we hadn’t been so tired from driving 14hrs from CO. I thankfully always travel with my own comforter, blankets, and pillows when traveling so we just used those on the bed. Definitely don’t recommend this La Quinta.

This hotel was under construction and the staff at the front desk was making out with a guy in the dark in the breakfast area. Stay away from this hotel if you want to have a nice place to stay. A Motel 6 would’ve been a better option than this hotel.

Peeling walls, filthy STAINED carpets, bathroom fixtures loose/hanging, not my hair in the bathroom, desk chair material was SHREDDED!! I’ve seen better chairs on the curbside on trash day. Work boot footprints all over the hotel floors & carpets. The upside?? We did not see any bedbugs. We were so exhausted & couldn’t find another place for the night

This hotel is so freaking nasty floors are dirty never mopped and let’s not talking about the roaches on the wall in our bed coming out the walls at the bottom not even a hour in and they got it to our food drinks

We had a mixup with a reservation at another hotel for Friday night for our anniversary. That reservation ended up being canceled (not their fault). We still wanted to spend the night away from home so we chose this La Quinta as it was near the area we wanted to explore, had very reasonable rates, and we have generally found La Quintas to be pretty well regulated from city to city. That was unfortunately not the case this time. Upon checking in, I found no one at the front desk. I rang the bell and a young woman came to check me in. She was very friendly, but she did have trouble finding my reservation. As I waited for her to find it, I was checking out the lobby and everything looked shabby. I'm not snooty about these things, so it didn't immediately turn me off, but I was a little surprised to see it in poor repair. When we got to our room, we found it smelled of fried food. There was a random pillow with no pillowcase on the center of the bed. There were stains on the bedspread. There was trash on the floor and the floor didn't appear to have been swept or vacuumed. The desk chair was broken and the "leather" seat was in very bad shape. there were other cosmetic issues about the room, but the pillow, chair, and trash on the floor left us feeling the room had not been cleaned well so we didn't feel comfortable staying. As I said, I'm not normally put off by shabby, if the place is clean, but we had serious doubts that our room had been adequately cleaned, so we chose to cancel our reservation. Priceline helped us request a refund, which we received.

Dirty, dingy hotel with poor service, poor value. Sleep in your car, it'll be better than a night here. The checkin attendant was rude at checkin, obviously on here way out the door. The room was found to be dirty, a/c was extremely noisy, when approaching front desk, was told no ther rooms are available, no other solution offered or given. check out there were no employees seen in lobby.

Broken exterior door. TV and remote unusable. Desk staff not very smart and somewhat unhelpful. Definitely not worth the price. I see no reason to stay at this particular place and I won't return. I'll find somewhere else.
