very friendly family that runs the hotel, super convenient for getting to nearby wedding venues / wineries etc. Limited english so have google translate available but they are very accomadating!

Abbiamo soggiornato all’Hotel Calzaiolo per tre notti e ci siamo trovati molto bene. L’hotel si trova a circa 30 minuti da Firenze, in una posizione comoda e tranquilla. Anche se da fuori può sembrare un po’ datato, all’interno è stato rinnovato: tutto è nuovo, pulito e molto curato. C'è anche un comodo parcheggio gratuito, perfetto per chi viaggia in auto. La zona è estremamente silenziosa, ideale per riposare senza sentire rumori. La proprietaria è molto cordiale e disponibile. Per quanto riguarda la colazione, bisogna accordarsi direttamente con la struttura, ma in alternativa, a soli 4 km si può facilmente raggiungere il centro per gustare un buon caffè e una brioche. In generale un ottimo punto d'appoggio per visitare Firenze e dintorni, con un eccellente rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Alojamiento pequeño pero con buenas instalaciones. El lugar donde está ubicado es agradable y tranquilo, pero no hay establecimientos comerciales y el transporte no es muy bueno, especialmente los fines de semana. El alojamiento no tiene recepción, lo cual puede ser un problema dependiendo de la hora que llegues, ya que la entrada principal no siempre está abierta.

Hotel Calzaiolo is WONDERFUL! I had a very restful time there. Antonietta is a kind, charming owner, and was so sweet and helpful to me. She even had a taxi deliver a work bag for me after I forgot it in my hotel room! Speaking of the room, it was charming and perfect, with a very cool wardrobe, and wood ceilings that overflowed with rustic style. If you're looking a for quiet, restful hotel (just 25 minutes outside of the hustle-and-bustle of downtown Florence), I highly recommend Hotel Calzaiolo!

In gita per ritrovarsi con la famiglia proveniente da più parti d'Italia, abbiamo scelto Firenze e deciso di soggiornare alle porte di essa. E qui abbiamo trovato un posticino fresco come casa, accogliente e tenuto con amore. La nostra camera con le travi a vista ed un panorama collinare ci ha regalato ore di calma e serenità.
