Handlery Union Square Hotel Reviews

We booked this hotel based on the location and price. I emailed ahead and told them we were celebrating birthdays. When we got there we had been upgraded. The hotel is clean with comfortable beds. It is dated in places, but this is because it is an old hotel with lots of history. There are rail, bus and tram stops near by. I would recommend this hotel.

Location is the best thing about it. Hotel itself was pleasant and clean. Room was okay. You get what you pay for. I guess if you want a more aesthetic room you’d have to upgrade or look for other hotels which may cost more. The room service was great. The staffs are helpful. One security guided us to where we could use the microwave. He was really kind. It’s just sad that parking is pricey. I’d come back here, if their rates are cheaper than the other options I will have.

The young man at front desk was not friendly at the time I do check in. When I ask for assistance for wifi password, he did not reply just show a card with password on it. Bad impression at first. The location of hotel is great.

Nice place. Parking availability is a bonus.

The hotel’s location is top notch. They cleaned our room every day and every request was granted. Highly recommended. Especially for its price.

Friendly staff (from front desk to housekeepers)~ it was great that we were able to be checked in early. It’s located right next to the union square, very convenient! Quiet room with comfy beds. Good rest after a long day city walk!~

Didn’t like the feel of this hotel- our room was very dark and dingy but quiet.. Good location and nice staff. Parking was extortionate.

No service at all even I have to carry my luggage by myself during the Checkin and checkout Hotel clean no complaints

The location was great. Close to a variety of shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to friends.

We had an excellent stay at The Handerley hotel. It is well located, feels safe and has comfortable accommodation. All staff members were welcoming and professional. Whilst we stayed in the older part of the hotel, we had no issues with our room or the facilities. Our only suggestion would be allowing access to a TV guide, as the current setup didn’t allow us to view the current and next show for each channel.

Staff is super helpful. I left my computer in the room when I checked out. The bellman was very kind and helped me recover it from the room. The room I had was large but the view was blocked by a building being constructed. Over all a convenient and good stay.

Positives : great location and friendly staff. Negatives. Dated and tired. Having to navigate through the hotel, up a serious height of stairs, past the pool and up an elevator to even get to our room was disappointing. Not great after a long day travelling. Our room had a few defects. Notably losing electricity, a television that wasn’t working properly and a shower that kept turning off. First day we had engineers in our room trying to rectify. Only a two night stay, but memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Good location, good wifi, good blackout curtain, excellent friendly and caring customer service. Good nice pool! Safe area!

Hotel was great, right in the centre and very close to many walkable things. Felt safe both day and night in the local area. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly. Parking charge is a little on the high side.
