The hotel itself is old with no elevators but the service is decent and parking is free. There is no breakfast but there is a microwave in the room. It is located on the beach side of the Golden Gate Park, with excellent walking trails and easy roads to the Pacific Ocean. An excellent view of the Golden Gate Bridge can be reached by car in 8 minutes and 40 minutes by foot.

This is an inexpensive hotel with no amenties. The property is clean but is showing its age. Location is one block from Ocean Beach, so great if you're a surfer or like to walk on the beach. Golden Gate is within walking distance, but all of the museums are a long ways East. The hotel is on the same street as the N Judah trolley, which can take you downtown. There are no rooms at ground level, and there is no elevator in this 4-story building, so it's not ADA friendly.

Vacation by the ocean
The staff was pleasant. The room was nice. Having the beach across the street was a real pleasure. Really convenient for public transportation. But trains are pretty loud so not the place to stay if you’re a light sleeper

Service could have been better
The location is prime! N train stop right there and all the restaurants nearby. The beach is right there. But the motel is loud, between the outside sounds and inside sounds, it's a lot. Overall the rooms are clean and beds are super comfy. My biggest issue is with the front desk being unavailable most of the time. I would come down and ring the doorbell and no one would come. On the day we were leaving I tried to check out and make sure everything was good to go, no one came to the window at all, we had to go to catch the taxi to the airport so left without knowing if we did everything correctly.
If you are staying for the beach experience and don't care about amenities, it's the spot. Bring ear plugs and you will be set. Very relaxed and laid back area and you can take public transportation to anywhere in the city from that point.

Everything was good. Clean. The only thing was they do not have an elevator and we stayed on the 3rd floor. It was ok though if you go up an down without heavy luggages. I sleep deep but i always wake up if the doors from other rooms are closing. Other than that its ok and very convenient, train in front of the hotel goes straight to the pier.

Hardly a hotel
This is a tidy but very plain pension with no elevator and 3 flights of stairs. Very basic coffeemaker in room and a show machine are the amenities. The coffeehouse next door made up for what the property lacked.

If wanting to stay near Ocean Beach, this place is great. Right next to Muni and steps to the beach and Golden Gate Park. It’s a little old, but rooms are nice and clean.
