This charming B&B has beautiful views of medieval San Gimignano, but the hospitality that the owners offer is even more memorable!! Every detail of the hotel, from the antique furnishings, the service, the meals planned is 5 stars! The love and hard work the owners put into reviving this charming farmhouse is obvious at every turn. Come for the views but stay for the food, wine and best hospitality you have ever experienced! Had a wonderful 5 nights at ail Segreto in San Gimignano. The team made us feel welcome at every step and the food and views of SG were magnificent. The rooms were clean and well appointed and perfect for our week away. Great walking into SG and all the town has to offer.

We stayed in Il Segreto for last four nights of a 10 day holiday around Tuscany. And while we stayed in beautiful 5 star hotels in Cortona and Chianti Il Segreto was undeniably my absolute favourite place! From the moment we arrived and were met by Andrea, who showed us around, I knew this was going to be something very special. The farmhouse is beautiful, you can tell the owners have invested so much love and care in creating a very welcoming and relaxing place for visitors. The outside space, terraces and pool area are lovely and peaceful, great for enjoying the most amazing views of San Gimignano. Dinner each evening is served outside in the dining room terrace, where you can watch the most beautiful sunsets. The owners Pedro and Diego create a lovely atmosphere and have a word with everyone before dinner, asking about their day and providing recommendations on wine and sightseeing in a very easy going, gentle way. It all feels so relaxed and homely. The food is excellent. Breakfast has a lovely selection of quiches and cakes, all freshly made in house (my husband remarked that the cheesecake was one of the best he’s ever had). You have a choice of two options for dinner (one vegetarian and one meat dish), and confirm your order at breakfast. No choice for starter or desert (as you would expect in a small agritourisimo), but everything was absolutely delicious, especially the mouthwatering deserts. Wine selection is all local and good value. Pedro (assisted by his gorgeous dog Dante) is available at reception every morning to help with planning the day ahead. The bar opens from 3pm to 8pm each day, great for a mojito (which I am reliably informed were excellent) or beer mid afternoon after a morning sightseeing in the area. The location, about 4kms from the beautiful walled town of San Gimignano, is perfect! Picture postcard Tuscany at its very best! Loved everything about Il Segreto and am already dreaming of a return visit! Truly a memorable, special place.

Hands down my favorite place I have ever stayed! The rooms are beautiful but we actually spent very little time our room because the entire property was absolutely gorgeous. The owner gave us helpful tips for visiting the nearby towns and after you are done with that, relaxing by the pool sipping on spritzes and taking in the view is pure bliss! Big praise to whoever is keeping up the flowers on the property because when we visiting in May of 2022 they were just breathtaking and everywhere! So beautiful! One of the biggest highlights of this place is the food and staff here, every night you can opt in or out of the meal and after our first night we knew we needed to opt in every night, everything was so delicious and if you are a steak lover you must try the Florentine Steak! One of the other best selling points of this place is the view that you get while dining here - its one of the best we saw in our whole trip (and we visiting ALL around Italy!) When the sun sets behind San Gimignano... chefs kiss! Oh they also have beautiful olive trees surrounding the property and they actually sell small bottles of their olive oil. Again just want to reiterate how much we enjoyed the staff and the owners.

Every thing was just perfect. From the warm welcome, to the amazing view from every corner in this place, to the delicious food, and much more. The staff is so kind and helpful. The pool is amazing, with amazing view and lots of places to lay down and chill. Really special calm atmosphere in every corner. We will definitely come back…

My recent stay here was an unforgettable experience. The owners, Pedro and Diego, and their staff members, Rocco, Andrea, and others, provided me with genuine warmth and hospitality. They were quick to adapt their communication to accommodate my needs as a Deaf guest, and their thoughtfulness and consideration made me feel truly valued. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were evident in every bite. Dinner was also a gastronomic journey, with incredible flavors and artistry in each dish. The room exceeded all my expectations. The comfortable bed provided a restful night's sleep, and the air conditioning was a must during the summer heat. I appreciated the attention to detail in ensuring a pleasant stay, from the hot water with excellent shower pressure to the well-stocked mini bar. The room had everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I have stayed at numerous similar places across Italy, but Il Segreto di Pietrafitta stands in a league of its own. The unparalleled level of attention, the impeccable service, the stunning pool, the mouthwatering breakfast and dinner offerings, and the thoughtfully appointed room combine to create an extraordinary atmosphere.
