Hotel Desertica

We felt welcome from the time we stepped foot through the door, and in the company of friends over the course of our 3 night stay. We were well and truly pampered, in a comfortable, relaxed and uncomplicated environment. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Rooms are completely separate from each other, so very quiet, and beautifully fitted out with all necessary comforts. The turn down service and yummy chocolate was a bonus. Restaurant offerings were amazing, beautifully prepared and reasonably priced. And some great wines on offer too. Highly recommend

We booked a 4 night stay directly with the hotel. They respond promptly to requests and questions. The hotel is about a 1.5-hour drive from Calama Airport. The staff at this hotel are pleasant, attentive, and accommodating. The check-in/out process was quick and easy. The restaurant has excellent food and service. There is a turn down service. Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. Wi-Fi connection throughout the property was very good. Desertica gives guests a refillable water bottle. We had access to filtered water in the hotel. The grounds are gorgeous. This property is conveniently located at the edge of the town center within a short walk to shops, stores, and restaurants. We were glad we decided to stay here.

We stayed 4 nights here while touring the region. The bungalows are really beautifully decorated in local style, well appointed and comfortable. The outdoor area is very pretty with a nice pool but unfortunately cold. Breakfast was very nice and fresh and good choice. The dinner was mainly good but there’s room for improvement.that was the only criticism of this hotel. The packed breakfast was really lovely and sandwiches delicious. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. Although it is situated at the entrance of SPA it is very quiet and relaxing.we were able to park our car if you informed them in advance .A definite recommendation if you are in the area .

The bungalows are set in gardens and reached via walkways. There are nice outdoor seating areas and the pool, all with traditional objects and textiles for decoration. The bungalows are also very well appointed and decorated, quiet and comfortable. Food is very good with generous portions. Reception staff are very helpful and if you need a packed breakfast there is a choice of options. We were only here 2 nights but a great base for the town and booking tours if you are not pre-booked.

This hotel is perfectly located to walk around town but is very quiet. The hotel only has 12 rooms (huts) that are very comfortable and have nice bathrooms. The staff is always looking to assist with anything you need. The food is very good and the breakfast has more than enough options. One afternoon it was nice just to sit but the pool and read. This is a good value for the level of accommodation.

Hotel is just near main street making it ideal for tours and shopping / food , facilities were terrific and all staff really helpful and friendly, great surrounds as well. Place was very relaxing and restaurant had a nice range of options, breakfast was something to look forward to!

This is a very beautiful and comfortable hotel. Medium size, with excellent comfortable rooms and a small restaurant onsite. The room was really spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Anything we did not have in the room was available on request from the reception, including the humidifier that was placed in our room on our request as the air is very dry in Atacama. We also appreciated the environmental conscious approach by the hotel including the bottles to refill gifted to us upon arrival and the water fountain with water 24/7. The hotel also offered free (very good quality) coffee including espresso, cappuccino, etc. all day long. The parking is rather small, but the staff who is always available can park the car if needed and find a place. The service is a separate topic that we really wanted to highlight. Throughout all the hotel from the front desk to the cleaning staff around everyone was very nice and always available not only for our requests, but also anticipated many of them. Especially we really enjoyed to chat with Florencia in the restaurant. The restaurant onsite has limited menu, but the food was outstanding with very reasonable prices. Though the concept of a la carte breakfast is not something we usually like, but it was always fresh. We would also have appreciated more information about the places to visit, but there are plenty of shops outside of the hotel who can provide it. We would definitely recommend this place and will stay again if we come back!

We had an excellent four night stay at this beautiful hotel located in the heart of San Pedro. Whilst it was very cold at night in August, the rooms were always warm as well as being super clean and very comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and the staff are friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend staying here, nothing really to be faulted.
