"We loved our stay at cabanas biuzaa! The place looks very nice, has friendly staff and is located close to the beach and town! Because the cabanas are not on the main road, it is very quiet! We slept very good, the bed is also very comfortable! It has a good price-quality range. Would defenatly recommend it!"

"This is a very difficult review to write as the property is a work in progress. There is lots of potential but there are currently lots of issues that take away from the experience. Things to know: Not a property for anyone with mobility issues. Lots of stairs and access to the property by car or foot is a challenge. Location: nothing nearby except for a small beach just down the hill and a small working fishing village a 20 minute walk away (puerto Angel). A car is really essential unless you just want to hangout at the property. Construction…directly beside and below with accompanying loud music played by the workers. They are expanding the hotel and adding a number of rooms. The noise will impact you more or less depending on the room location. Our room was nice (Mazunte bungalow) but it was by no means luxurious. Lovely private patio with a beautiful view that we could not use during the day due to construction noise but that was very nice in the evenings. Morning sunrises (I know…sunrise over the ocean on the west coast ?) were memorable along with whale sightings from the room. Amenities lacking (drinking water, coffee maker, coffee) on arrival but rectified after repeated requests. Good AC and fans. Everything was very clean and common areas were very nice. The staff were eager to please. Lovely setting in the restaurant with an amazing view. Probably the best restaurant for miles around with a nice menu. Included breakfast was very good. Probably a good option for a relaxing down time stay. And, a property with possibilities undergoing growing pains."

Cabañas Biuzaa ★★★
"We loved the experience. The cabins were clean, beautiful, and romantic. The quality of the mattress and sheets was excellent. The staff made us feel right at home; they were incredibly attentive and gave us recommendations for visiting beautiful nearby beaches. I was worried because I thought they would be very remote, but they weren't at all—very easy to get to. We will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality."

Casa Biulú ★★★
"Casa Biulu is a work in progress. It is on the top of the hill so the view is wonderful. The hotel itself, however, is under construction and repair. Our room had issues with the shower and the sink which were immediately fixed by the wonderful LUCIA who is the manager. You have to be in relatively good shape to walk up the hill to the hotel and then walk up and down the stairs at the hotel. Breakfast, which is included, is very basic so don’t expect anything elaborate. Our room did have air conditioning and a good working fan which we appreciated having both. The room was clean but areas outside your room, including the dipping pool and/or pool require more attention. Railings are missing from many of the steeper areas so you want your full faculties walking around the property. The owner of this place is an absentee owner. She would have a real gem on her hands if she would pour more money and time into this place. It would be a heck of a good place to stay if the price was not as high as they’re charging now. Having said that, having air conditioning was a real bonus and you can’t beat the view unless you’re right on the beach. I would stay again mostly because LUCIA was so helpful when anything needed attending to. I would, however, negotiate a better price than what we paid."

Casa Mauna Boutique Hotel ★★★
"Juan and his Hotel staff are just the type of people you want to be around. They are welcoming, genuine and delicate. The Hotel has just what you need for a perfect 5-day stay. Rooms are funcional and decorated with style. The Beach is literally a few minutes walking and is breathtaking. The Restaurant is fully plant-based with an increíble taste and variety. Fully recommend for those able to appreciate the tranquility and unspoiledness of this beautiful piece of our Mexican coast."
