Residence Villa Piani

The lady is nice and kind. The residence is quiet. A beautiful swimming pool right in front of the seaside, just 10 meters separate us from the water! Amazing hydromassage and waterfall in the swimming pool! You can as well reach the city center in 2 minutes walking. I would say, a perfect location.

We stayed for 4 nights . The building itself is lovely, the main bedroom and living room were spacious. The second bedroom was very cramped with a frame & mattress pulling out from under the small single bed to serve as the second bed leaving very little space between the two beds. It was ok for small children. The air conditioning was poor , serving only to circulate warm air with little apparent cooling effect. We faced the main road which was at times very noisy at night into the small hours. Between the inadequate air conditioning and the noisy road, sleep was difficult. The pool patio area was nice but swimming only allowed between 9 am and 7pm ( which was also the case in the other accommodation we stayed in on this trip ) . Guests are obliged to dispose of all rubbish before departure. The closest rubbish & recycling bins are at the train station in the centre of town, so be prepared to walk through town with your rubbish . Depending on what site you book from , there may be a lot of additional charges including a charge for use of the kitchen in the apartment. Checkout is 8 - 10am however the office doesn’t open until 11am. Therefore you will be long departed if they call and claim damages. We were in the airport when they called and claimed we had broken the shower door handle and charged us €120 for a replacement. My husband had noticed it was loose during our stay but had not reported this unfortunately . Their terms and conditions state any issue not reported within 24 hours will be charged to the guest. It does not exclude normal wear and tear. Be warned. Furthermore we were charged for a multi pack of handles, 4 for €40, so a €10 handle was charged at €120 including labour €40. It was not clear what the additional €40 was for. To add insult to injury, the person we dealt with was incredibly rude. It was an upsetting experience. I cannot recommend this villa to anyone.
