Zhangjiajie Giant Salamander Hot Spring Resort Hotel

Facilities: The restaurant closes after 6 PM, requiring a 10-minute walk to a nearby farmhouse to order food. We weren't informed at check-in that dinner wasn't served after 6 PM, nor were we told to call ahead to make reservations. We walked there from 6 PM until 7:30 PM, and still hadn't had any food. The kids were starving. Environment: Driving up requires a treacherous, winding mountain road, which can be challenging for beginners. Daytime is safer, so arriving at night is not recommended. Service: The front desk service was truly terrible. They assigned us the wrong room type, even though we had a bathtub. They tried to stall us for time, asking us to check it out, but we were told to accept a standard room. So why did I pay extra for a bathtub room instead of a standard room? Even if you pay a lot of money, you can't be fooled. In the end, we were given a room with a bathtub but a broken phone. I'm so astonished (and they didn't even explain the check-in, dining, and amenities service hours. We had to wait and figure things out on our own. The service was truly terrible). This wasn't a five-star experience at all. This was a good hotel, but the service let it down... Not only did they assign us the wrong room, delaying us by an hour, but they also forced us to accept a downgrade at the original price (with no refund or compensation). It was such a ridiculous way of handling things. I didn't get angry, thinking I'd fooled customers.

交通較為便利，酒店專門修了一截兒柏油路。衞生情況較好，房間設施嶄新，各類用具齊全，我所在的房間採光很好，房間的佈置我們都很滿意，但隔壁朋友的那間採光一般，可以提前問問。夜晚的泳池很漂亮，玩得很開心。另外，小童樂園小、抽象得可以，不要想着小朋友過來有多少玩的地方。房間隔音差到手機日常接收訊息的鈴聲在外面可以聽得一清二楚。前台介紹的8-24點的泳池在23之前就會提醒人離開，有泳帽的記得帶泳帽，或者在進門口處購買（安全員要求）聲稱24h營業的3樓就餐處在我兩位朋友23：30的樣子過去時關閉了，門口的保安大伯態度巨差無比地趕人，第二天我們三人八點半去吃早餐，大伯依舊持有火氣未消的架勢。可能是最近人少，可能是我們就餐的時間不當，早餐種數和質量都讓人有些大跌眼鏡。最後，建議大家，尤其是需要半夜入住的友友，如果要訂房儘量提早下單，平台下單沒辦法當場出房，平台下單後的訊息不會到前台，而是需另轉委託方，通過微信告知前台，前台好像完全沒聽過平台下單的流程，在當地委託方的微信通知前衹會告知沒看到訂單。
