Beautiful hotel surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Alps, the nicest staff I've ever encountered, with an always-ready smile and willingness to help

Just completed a weeks skiing. Location just outside the main ***** of St Anton traditional Austrian set up which clean and basic rooms. The highlight is the excellent food and service for dinner each evening. One thing to improve would be they require a larger boot room for peak aeason.

This is a superb hotel, the rooms, the pool and the spa are great to come home to after a day on the mountain,the staff really are first class, very friendly and accommodating and the food is truly excellent, the hotel mini bus drops you off at the ski lifts in the morning and the towns shuttle bus is every ten minutes to return you to the hotel,we loved every minute of our stay at hotel kertess and would book again without hesitation if we were to return to St Anton

ABSOLUTELY DISGUISTING !! Stay away !!

First of all the doors are not fit for purpose somesone can get into your room so easy, the lady owner was so rude, with no customer satisfaction, charged £350 to fix a door that was already broke, they said once paid we can have our origional room back on the Monday as it was a Saturday when it broke however we never got it back we got the worst room in the hotel after we paid for better one, then the room they had put us in had been repaired with glue I’ll show yous in pictures, all the staff are ignorant and rude ! We’re happy to sell us drinks at a high cost in the hotel but if we weren’t in hotel and come in drunk they went mad and tried to fine us £100, it was such a bad experience that crystal themselves refunded part of the money after seeing the pictures, they have a big German Shepard walking around you whilst eating your food, utterly not acceptable, the room got cleaned once in the full week and if you ran out of toilet paper you had to go to reception!!

Asked for safe key as door was so easy to get into but they didn’t have any for any of the 5 rooms we booked, so carried our money passports and valuables with us everywere we went 

Out of the 5 rooms we had 4 of the doors had previously been broke and glued, yes glued back on, whoever thinks a chipboard architrave with the lock fixed into it is suitable for people to stay and leave there belongings in especially in a ski resorts as most equiptment is a fortune, is a joke .

Oh and it’s funny how when the door happned on a Saturday the owner promised we would have the room back on Monday as there “joiner” doesn’t work weekends but the room never got fixed and we never got movedc however on the Saturday we were waiting in reception before leaving the joiner turned up.

Stayed at this hotel 13th - 20th January 2024 for a skiing trip to St Anton. The Hotel and rooms were immaculate, the room was spacious with a reasonable size bathroom and nice hot shower. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the service was excellent. The food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent with a 5 course meal every night and buffet style hot and cold breakfast. There's a ski locker in the basement if you choose not to purchase a locker at one of the stores near the Gondola. It is a short 8 - 10 minute walk down to the Gondola but takes a bit longer coming up due to the hotel being on a hill. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the gondola if you need it but we preferred to walk. I wasn't that keen on skiing in St Anton as the slopes were very churned up due to their steepness for beginners but if i were to return, I'd absolutely stay at this hotel again and would recommend to others.

We travelled as a family of five - all adults. Hotel Kertess is family run and the owners were very much present. It was an outstanding experience. The staff are very attentive but not intrusive so bar and meal service were excellent. The food was outstanding every day. We were there for New Year and the Gala Dinner did not disappoint. The farmer’s buffet the next evening was a stand-out with a variety of perfectly cooked meats available. The staff were unfailingly cheerful and friendly with nothing too much trouble. The hotel, as the website says, is a walk uphill that takes around 15 minutes. We stored our skis and boots in one of the hire shops near the Galzigbahn (cost around 77€ per locker for 5 nights). That worked well for us as we could walk around the village in our normal shoes after skiing before walking back to the hotel. The hotel runs a shuttle minibus in the morning and the number 3 ski bus is available all day. To return from the village, the stop is near the Rendlbahn. Note that the bus travels in a circular direction and only travels downhill past the hotel so you have to catch the bus from the village to get back uphill. Also worth noting is that you can take the bus from St Anton to Zürs/Lech (or ski over) which costs around 5€ (only payable by cash) one way. The bus doesn’t stop at the bus terminal so catch it from the train station if going from the centre (number 670). Skiing back from Zürs/Lech is possible if you take a bubble up and down.
