Conveniently located just a couple of blocks away from the main square Parque Vidal, this elegant casa is on a relatively quiet street and was one of our favourite places to stay in Cuba. The art deco interior is absolutely gorgeous with high ceilings and period furniture, a large en-suite bathroom with stylish black art deco suite, and a beautifully restored atrium with tiling, fountain and pot plants. The owners’ daughter Isel speaks excellent English and was really friendly and helpful with advice on where to get transport back to the Viazul bus station and how much to pay. She kindly provided a battery powered lamp when there was a power cut and answered email promptly when I wasn’t able to book through Airbnb once in Cuba. Breakfast was delicious - fresh fruit, coffee, juice, toast, omelette and a toasted cheese sandwich. Highly recommended.
