Our stay at Masoods Lodge in Boulder Creek was extremely disappointing and far below acceptable standards. Upon arrival, the property appeared neglected and felt more like a junkyard, with scattered debris, piles of tires, maintenance supplies, and trash throughout the grounds. At our unit, there was even a spatula and an old shirt left draped over the BBQ. Inside the cabin, the conditions were unacceptable. There were cobwebs throughout, ants in the kitchen, dirty dish drawers, and an unclean toilet upon arrival. The bed comforter had a large visible stain, and the outdoor furniture cushions were piled up, torn, and unusable. The overall cleanliness and upkeep did not meet even basic expectations. The outdoor “lounge” space by the creek was also unusable, with multiple old microwaves sitting on a table and a refrigerator lying on its side. Most concerning, our dog became infested with fleas during our stay, creating an immediate health issue and forcing us to leave. We had booked three nights but left after the first night due to these conditions. This property was clearly misrepresented, and the experience fell far below hospitality standards.
