We last visited this hotel in May 2022 and had a fantastic time and so looked forward to our trip last week. But sadly something has happened in the last two years.....and not for the better. Everything that was outstanding is now average at best. Breakfast service is chaotic, serving staff look bored/disinterested, everything has to be chased, ordered food, such as eggs are almost inedible Pool service is non existent, on one day we had to sit without towels for ages waiting for them to arrive. No one asks if you want anything, they seem to hide behind the bar area and hope to be left alone In our room, the safe deposit box didn't work, the patio door didn't close properly, the water was on one evening boiling hot only with no cold. Tea and coffee wasn't refreshed and had to chase , We had personal items go missing - flannel, storage bags. And we had the joy of a fire alarm late at night on one occasion. The hotel has so much going for it, but is obvious to us that in trying to cut costs it has lost its way badly and is no where near 5* standard So sad to see and we really hope this will be addressed and can return to former standards, we love the resort and would also love to return to the hotel but only when/if these issues are addressed.
