Hotel Gelmírez

The hotel is located near Santiago de compostela train station and there are eateries and supermarkets around the hotel making it convenient. The bathtub in the room is a saviour after walking the Camino.

Conveniently located near the train and bus terminals. Check-in was fast and hassle-free, tourist tax is required. There are also grocery shops nearby, along with quite a number of food choices.

Great location! Only 12 minutes walk to Cathedral de Santiago. Very clean room, so, highly recommended. The buffet breakfast is also a plus. I only hope a kettle or coffee machine is available in the room and a complimentary bottle of water would be appreciated too.

The hotel is centrally located and about 10-15 minutes walk to the old town and cathedral. We stayed in a triple room which the layout is a little bit strange. We recommend the hotel to restudy the layout of the additional bed so that it is more comfortable. The breakfast is nice and enough choice. One thing need enhancement is the ventilation of the toilet which I guess it is not operating.

Great location, clean , friendly and helpful staff

Aside from the location being fairly convenient, there really isn’t much else to praise. It’s a hotel with no facilities at all , not even a bottle of water is provided, so you’ll have to buy your own from the supermarket. As for toothbrushes, slippers, shower caps or kettle, those definitely aren’t included either. One thing worth mentioning, though, is the very friendly male staff at the front desk. When we asked where to find a supermarket or which restaurants were open at that hour, he helped enthusiastically and even marked everything clearly on the map.
