There are many steps and the service is pretty good, but the price/performance ratio is not high compared to the price.

Visited Santorini for first time celebrating wedding anniversary staying in a grand suite. This is the Santorini stay that we dreamed of when planning our visit. The view from the hotel is stunning and amazing to wake up to every day. What really shines through is the care and attention to detail from all the staff that we encountered during our stay. The inclusive breakfast is excellent with a wide selection to cater for any taste and means you don’t need to eat lunch (not that you want to in the heat!). As well as enjoying the terrace and plunge pool on a few days the hotel also arranged the Wineways exclusive tour (which we would highly recommend and will review separately) and also the private picnic for our anniversary. The private picnic was absolutely amazing. Staying in Oia you see 1000 of people make the trip to watch sunset. There is no better way you could see the sunset than the private picnic. I won’t ruin the experience for anyone but it is just you and your loved one fantastic wine and food with an uninterrupted view of the sunset. If you are planning a visit to Santorini we can’t recommend Santorini Secret Suites & Spa highly enough.

2 night stay mid-May 2023 Located on the edge of the hillside overlooking the caldera. No you can’t see the sunset from the hotel but honestly I don’t think a sunset is as awesome as these ocean views. Property: Be forewarned there are a lot of stairs in this property. The reception is located down 2 flights of stairs. I arrived early and they stored my luggage for me until my room was ready. They also booked a cruise for me that included the island of Thirassia through Vista Cruise. I highly recommend it! The staff here are amazing and helpful. Pool, Bar: Small pool located at the bottom level of the property that overlooks the ocean. Several double lounger/beds, umbrellas, and single loungers surrounding the pool. There’s a bar next to the pool. Warning: Be careful around the pool the tile is slippery. Yes, I slipped and fell, making an ***** of myself- felt really old after that. Restaurant: My first afternoon after hiking from Fira to Oia I lounged by the pool and ordered a Greek salad from the restaurant. Food was excellent and so was the service. Breakfast: Each day you fill out an order form with what you want for breakfast the next morning and what time you want it delivered. Having my breakfast brought and setup each morning on the patio looking at this amazing view… omg worth it! Food was excellent too. Room: Large room with one of the biggest bathrooms I’ve seen. The mattress was on the firm side. When I climbed into bed the first night, every time I moved the bed creaked loudly. I moved to the other side to avoid that. The AC unit is located under the window, not on the same side as the bed. No matter what I or they did the room never quite cooled down very well. This is going to be an issue during summer. My room had a small patio with 2 loungers (positioned underneath the stairs), large umbrella, small table 2 chairs and jacuzzi. Bummer that the two loungers do not fit out in the sun, they are completely shaded by the stairs. Honestly I couldn’t figure out how to use the fancy shower and Eddie was kind enough to come show me. The shower does leak a bit onto the floor. On my 2nd day the towels in my room for use at the pool/spa were in bad shape with the edges completely coming apart. The replacement towels seemed fine at first but later on found that one had 3 holes in in the middle. My last night there, I wanted to get into the jacuzzi. There aren’t covers for the jacuzzi so bugs/leaves are in there, no big deal except this day some paper/trash had gotten in and was now sitting at the bottom. I asked for a pool skimmer so I could get the trash out. They told me initially someone would be by in 10 mins. After numerous WhatsApp communications (1.5hrs later) I gave up and got into the shower because I had dinner reservations. Of course when I got out of the shower the jacuzzi was cleaned. Argh🤦‍♀️ Pros: view, location, large bathroom, breakfast Cons: some maintenance and towel quality issues to work out. The soap

Disclaimer: this is an extremely late review. We visited back in May 2021 (!!) We had such a great experience at this hotel! Service was above and beyond! The staffs are truly the nicest people! The staff genuinely wanted you to have a relaxing and wonderful time. We arrived with a rental car and parked on the main street. They do have limited designated parking for their hotel. You need to let them know in advance that you will need a parking spot. A super strong young man came pickup our heavy luggages and walked us on the path and steps to the hotel reception where we checked in. The check in process was very smooth. We felt very welcomed as soon as we arrived. We were introduced to all of the staff working there that day. Joanna did a very great job introducing the hotel in our tour of the grounds while explaining all the services they offered. The view is magnificent from the hotel! The private hot tub outside the room is wonderful! The staff will set up the outdoor umbrella at your individual terrace balcony so you can have a great view while having your breakfast. When we came back in the evening, the umbrella would have already been closed so you can have a great night view while you relax in your private hot tub or lounge at your private lounge chair. Breakfast was awesome! Menu will be left in the room every night and you pick what you want to eat and they will deliver your food at the time that you decide. Food was so good, the ingredients were very fresh and of high quality! And they make sure to feed you well. We felt like we were always given extra food! And the young man who delivered food to us was always so cheerful! In fact, everyone who works there are always so cheerful and nice! Youli who helped with turndown service was so sweet. She’d make sure to leave us treats every night and that we have everything we needed, she’d leave us things that she knows we will need even when we were not around. Thanks Youli! The swimming pool is awesome! The temperature of the pool is always just right and you can stare at the beautiful view of the caldera while relaxing in the pool. The pool is right next to the bar where you can order your drinks. We had a massage at the spa after hiking from Fira to Oia. Stella the masseuse released all the knots from our muscles without us telling her where our pain was! We truly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were already wonderful and the view magnificent, but it was the people here that made our stay truly memorable and special!

I stayed at the hotel for 3 days, the experience was good, the employees were hospitable and kind, the hotel in general is very beautiful, but I was informed that the tips, the money given by the visitors for the employees, for the entire summer season, is kept by the company they never received them until today. I do not recommend this hotel that exploits the workers.

Had the most amazing stay at Santorini Secret Suites and Spa . I booked the holiday to help me both physically and mentally , as I lost my beloved mum , my beautiful dog , smashed my ankle to pieces in December 2022 , requiring 2 surgeries and a great deal of physio and physical effort to help me to be able to walk again . I chose Santorini from seeing Jane MacDonald watch the stunning sun set from Oia . I knew there were many stairs due to the position of the hotel so I asked my customer advisor at Jet 2 to e mail the hotel and ask for a room at the top so I would not have to keep walking up and down the steps , which I really would struggle with . I arrived and the staff were there to greet my private transfer car , they told me I had been upgraded ( I had booked a pure suite ) so I just thought oh great I have been upgraded to the next size of room . However, when they showed me where I would be staying I literally just could not believe it - I thought this does not happen to Wendy from Oldham . I stayed in The Villa , a full size villa , 2 floors , 2 beautiful bedrooms , 2 beautiful bathrooms , 2 HUGE beds ( the most comfortable bed ever with exquisite bed linen ) 2 mini bars , 2 lounge areas , full size fridge and small kitchenette , 2 tvs , a lovely garden , seating outside , 4 sun beds , a pool , jacuzzi and heated whirlpool , all just for ME !!!! I could not get over the brightness of the whiteness . Lovely art decor , coffee maker , kettle , great size wardrobes . Breakfast was brought to your room at the time of your choice and you can order as many different dishes as you wanted .The yoghurt dishes were my particular favourite. Maid service x2 daily , bottles of water brought to your room , and all outdoor bathing facilities were cleaned every night . I just loved the Villa so much and really did not want to step outside( but I did ) . I loved going in the whirlpool at night as it had lights all around it with different functions , the warm water really soothed my ankle . All the staff were really lovely and always helpful should you have any query . The view of the Caldera was absolutely stunning . The hotel is right in the heart of Oia , so all restaurants, shops , little supermarkets were right on your doorstep ( I even found a pharmacy ) Although you were in the heart of the resort there was no late night noise , it was lovely and quiet throughout the night ( but I did stay in May just a couple of weeks into the season ,)To whoever arranged for my upgrade I just can’t say THANKYOU enough , after all the trauma of the last 16 months it was just so lovely , comforting and special to spend my holiday at The Villa . Also definitely so much easier on my ankle - I really would have struggled . I wanted a total chill week and that’s what I had . Oia is so pretty with so many different coloured properties , the churches are so beautiful, and the sun set really was breathtaking. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for making my dreams co

Most romantic, mind blowing place I have ever seen! The location, beyond perfect! The room was clean & spacious with glorious views all around! Loved our patio with our private jacuzzi while taking in the glorious sunrises (which are equally spectacular to the sunsets) along with a delicious breakfast each day. A Five Star experience. The staff really goes the extra mile on everything.

The hotel was amazing. When you think about Santorini this is the hotel I imagined. Stefan and the whole team made us feel very welcome and gave us some great recomendations to eat. When we checked in the General Manager gave us a tour of the property which was unexpected and appreciated. We both had massages and they were incredible. We did room service a few times for lunch and we really enjoyed the food. Our room had a pool and the views were spectacular. If I were to ever go back to Santorini, this is the hotel I would chose again. Thank you for a great stay.
