Sanya Shengyi Seaview Hotel

The view is good, if you have a room on the top floor with the sea view. Initially I booked the city view, but the construction (which is next to the building) works even at night, so the receptionist advised to change the room. Although we heard the construction works during late hours, it was not so loud. Aircon is a huge problem, with the minimum temperature it was not cooling enough. Breakfast was good, good choice of food, drinks and goodies.

This is an old hotel that has undergone refurbishment of its rooms. It is located at an excellent location that faces the sea and is in the city centre. The only shortcomings are: 1. the hot water is lukewarm and not sufficiently hot for a hot shower, This shortcoming although is tolerable during warm weather will be intolerable during cooler weather; and 2. the air conditioning control in the room is adequate but the control panel was not functioning so it was not possible to adjust room temperature and wind strength. Despite these shortcomings, the room price is definitely value for money.

Fantastic Hotel for English Speaking Foreigners. This is one of the Best Hotels in Sanya. Unlike many Hotels Sanya Shengyi is a True 5 Star accommodation. The Location is absolutely Perfect right on the Beach pretty much in the centre of town. and also unlike other Hotels the rooms are exactly as described. The staff are amazing and friendly and helpful and the lady that did our room service was so helpful and friendly also. The Pool is great and the Lifeguards are such funny characters that we had to have photos with them. I highly recommend the 180 Degree Ocean view Rooms we spent so much time on the Balcony watching all the fun every day and night on the water front and in the Bay. we watched the light shows at night on Phonex Island from our balcony. The people who say you cant swim at the beach in town are wrong, this is not true. The only time swimming is not allowed at the beach here is during a Typhoon. All DiDi's are at most only 2 minutes away from this Hotel and this Hotel is perfectly located centrally to all Tourists sites and markets. We walked to so many shops and markets. On average most didi's charged us approx $3 Australian Dollars. We initially stayed at Dadonghai Beach area but did not like it as much as Sanya City as it is too expensive there and more Russian atmosphere than Chinese. In Sanya City the Chinese people were so friendly to us and very helpful. The food is also much better than at Dadonghai area and you get a taste of the real China. China is an amazing country so much better in every way than Australia. From our Hotel we had a easy Beach foreshore walk to watch the fishermen bring in their catches to sell to the Locals. My wife cried when we had to leave.

The beach is very close to the hotel, nice view. Good breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and clean, a little bit old already. There’s a bus stop and tram close to the hotel and a lot of restaurants with good prices close.

Good, very nice staff. The helped me with how I have to eat crab. And hot pot.

Convenient Store available beside lobby. Excellent Buffet at RMB198.
