Captiva Beach Resort (Open Private Beach Access)

Room and everything in the room were clean. The floor was smooth and here were no mats to dry your feet after shower. Likely, older people could slip and fall. The whole area was quiet most of the time. Everything is accessible by walking.

We love the property, beautiful, clean and we love that you can walked to the beach, that is a plus.

Captiva is where it's at! Just book and enjoy Absolutely loved this resort! My original stay was for a week, but I extended that by a day, just for the fact there is so much to do. Pros: The pool is nice and actually very deep • pull out l shaped sofa is great and comfortable • extremely fast and reliable Internet • smart TV in living area and bedroom • a 2 minute walk to the beach • access to shottlecock, bean bag toss and ping pong right outside your door. • full kitchen with oven, pots, pans, cups, utinsuls, microwave and dishwasher •super soft dining table chairs • no need to carry a key to access your room --------------------- Only two cons for me is the glass shower door barely passes the toilet when opened and there is no bathtub, and there are only 8 parking spots available, and one is handicap. I left the property several times and always came back to an available parking spot, but I definitely can see where that would not always be the case. Overall this is my new go-to place when I vacation to Sarasota and it should be yours as well.

I loved this place I absolutely loved my room here. It was clean and safe and easy to access. Parking was never any trouble and it was an easy walk to some great dining and a short drive to even more great dining. If you like German food I highly recommend Schnitzel Kitchen. Also Shebeen Irish Pub and Big Water Fish Market. Look them up! If I was coming back to Siesta Key Beach I would come here again. It would be hard to convince me to try any other place. Only knock is noisy intermittent buzzing noise of the air conditioning which is more than normal but that wouldn’t deter me. I got used to it and slept good.

I highly recommend staying here. Jen runs the place and was an absolute doll. She was very accommodating on any request we had. John checked us in and then proceeded to help us girls carry our things to our room. I was on a girls trip. The beautiful beach is only 4 minute walk. Our room was spacious and very clean. The frounds were beautiful and the pool was very enjoyable after going to the beach. We love the free trolly and the Hopper can be called for a free ride to all the shopping and restaurants.

The property was pretty clean, I heard it was remodeled after last year hurricane. The list I didn't like is pretty long: 1.Our room was very tiny, one queen bed fit in, with no space left for anything else. 2. Swimming pool: it is shared with 3 other resorts, so we couldn't use it (only once in very early morning) 3. Beach: you will have an access to the tiny ***** of beach, 10 feet wide, shared between the same resorts as a pool. The location is around 5 minutes walk, for me is not beachfront resort. As a summary: I won't recommend this property. And I don't think it is cheap considering the factors I have mentioned above.
