"Stylish however this is NOT a 4 * hotel . Good points - -Nice room , decent size . -Ski in / Ski out . -Good spa at the end of the days skiing . BAD Points for a hotel purporting to be 4 * - - Paper cups in room ??? Why not give a glass and a cup to have a coffee or a tea ! - Cannot regulate the temperature in the room / no air-con or radiators and no underfloor heating so I have no idea how they’re heating this place . All I know is we have been freezing in our room all week . -My wife and I would have loved to come in after being out for dinner and been able to cast to the tv off Netflix ( or equivalent) but the TV’s in this hotel are not on the network and have been disabled. WHY ? This is a basic necessity in an international hotel . I understand that they maybe can’t have tv from around the world available but this is so simple for a modern hotel and gives guests a choice . We have managed to watch BBC world news for the first three days of our stay but ( this is our fourth ) it appears to have disappeared and it now says it’s unavailable!!! -Not enough ski lockers Sort out the above and yes it’ll probably be a four star in France but as it stands I will be leaving here disappointed with the standard of accommodation at the Higalik ."

Basic, but incredibly clean rooms, and the best brekkie in France I think I’ve ever had. £90 for two for one night with breakfast and tax. Just brilliant value. Friendly. Clean. Comfy beds. "Great service, great staff, try their best to speak English, the food was so great that I went back for a 2nd visit. Normally I try visit each place once whilst on holiday. My 2nd visit the manager gave me a free 2nd Aperol Spritz taken off of the bill. Make sure to reserve your table. It does get busy in there. Dinner served from 1930 to 2130 I recommend to get there for 1930 as it gets busy from 2030 and you’ll be waiting longer for service. The drink quality is also good and matches the food."

It is a huge challange to satisfy seventy, fourty and nine years old grouo members, yet the Clubmed and particularly the lodge team did just that. The upper level lodge provides all the upsides of Clubmed with no downsides. This is the right mixture of a 5 star hotel with superb personal service, and an active Clubmed style vaccation. If you travel with kids and wish to have a carefree luxary ski vaccation - thats the ulimate solution!"
Les Suites – Maison Bouvier
"Stayed 4 nights in December 2024. We were in a ‘Tradition Suite’, which is for 4 people. The main bedroom had an ensuite bathroom and was open to the lounge area. The second bedroom had an ensuite shower room and a door separating it from the lounge area and other bedroom. The suite was spacious, clean and well equipped. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of TVs although they only showed French stations (with a facility for ChromeCast.) The heating controls were straightforward and had the desired effect. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were annoying! The shower room had absolutely no door separating it from the bedroom. This means there was a total lack of privacy for the shower room user. I have no idea why no door was fitted. The main ensuite bathroom didn’t really allow for showering. There was a shower head over the bath but only for use when lying in the bath. Also, the provided toiletries were bolted to the wall. I know there is a growing trend for this which is justified by its eco credentials but in an expensive hotel like this, it’s not a good look. Also, and worse, is that they were fixed to the wall far too high up for the bath user to reach with any comfort. The his and hers hand basins both had improperly adjusted plug lifts. One was stuck too high and so the bowl would constantly drain and the other plug was too low so the bowl emptied too slowly. Also, the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. The wooden floor looked good but meant we could hear intrusive footsteps from the same wooden floor upstairs - it sounded like they were wearing clogs! Breakfast was a little disappointing. No fresh fruit salad - whole fruit was provided for use in the smoothie machine. Also, the space is quite limited and so, at busy times, people seemed to bump into one another. FYI - I should mention that the WC was in a separate room (not within the bathrooms) but had no hand basin thus necessitating a little trip to the en-suite which was annoying at night when you are trying not to disturb your partner. I think this may be a French cultural thing as I have experienced this elsewhere and don’t criticise the hotel for this."

"The hotel is very nice, and the staff are very friendly. Maybe we just got a bit unlucky to have a room facing the car park and main gate, and could hear the noise from the road. We were also a bit surprised to find out the spa closed as early as 8 p.m. for a spa hotel, and it wasn't ready at 9 a.m. as it should be open from 9. I guess this hotel will be more suitable for long stays."

"Overall, I am very satisfied. This is a ski hotel in winter, but it is still good to stay in summer. The hotel has a great view, the dinner buffet and the swimming pool are great. There are many entertainment options for children in the hotel. I also met several French children who only speak French. I didn’t speak English, but the guy at the front desk helped translate and I had a lot of fun."

"I just spent a night at this hotel, and I highly recommend it; it's a real find. Everything is brand new, with top-notch comfort and service. My room was actually a studio, as it had a kitchenette, which is great since they don't have a restaurant on site. The room was very well soundproofed, as promised, and that's essential for me. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent; the only downside was that I couldn't connect my Netflix account to their TV, but the problem was being resolved. This hotel is definitely going to be my go-to place for future stays in the Maurienne Valley. I recommend it without hesitation."
