BBeiluoaolicangtezhanghengAs a mother traveling with two children, the front desk graciously upgraded us to a corner sea-view suite, even though we had originally booked a standard sea-view room. The room was incredibly spacious, boasting a 270-degree panoramic ocean view from the balcony – it truly felt perfect for a young couple on their honeymoon!
Regarding the underwater restaurant, it's absolutely crucial to book your seats in advance. I didn't, and consequently, all the window seats were taken, which definitely detracted from the experience. Thankfully, someone didn't show up halfway through, and the staff kindly moved us to a tunnel table. My kids absolutely loved interacting with the mermaids, making it a fantastic experience!
In summary, if you're staying at the InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort, a sea-view room and a visit to the underwater restaurant are absolute must-dos. Otherwise, the overall experience is quite similar to what you'd find at other hotels in Haitang Bay. Those two aspects are definitely the highlights, and shouldn't be missed!

As a senior travel enthusiast, I travel between business trips and vacations all year round, and have my own insights into the hotel's service quality and facility experience. Grand Hyatt Hotel left a deep impression on me. Whether it is the overall environment of the hotel or the meticulousness of the service staff, I have benefited a lot from this trip.
First, let me talk about the hotel environment. Sanya Haitang Bay is located in the southeast of Sanya City and is one of the most beautiful bays in Sanya. The hotel is surrounded by mountains and sea, covering a vast area, surrounded by green trees and sunny. As soon as you walk into the hotel lobby, you can feel a comfortable and comfortable atmosphere. The lobby is decorated in elegant style, with the fresh atmosphere of citrus and sea breeze everywhere. The public areas of the hotel are designed in a simple and elegant manner, whether they are swimming pools, gyms, restaurants or bars.
The room I stayed in was the Supreme Sea View Room, which was very spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of the hotel's garden. The interior of the room is elegantly decorated, with exquisite furnishings, everything is available, the bathroom is spacious and bright, and is equipped with a separate bathtub and shower. Importantly, the bedding in the room was very comfortable and I slept very sweetly every night.
In addition to excellent hardware facilities, the hotel's service is also excellent. Every service staff was enthusiastic and attentive, and left a deep impression on me without exception. May and Jasmine will take the initiative to ask me what I need, patiently answer my various questions, and ask me if I need anything else. The hotel can store my luggage so that I can hang out in the hotel with ease and pleasure. This kind of considerate service made me feel the warmth of being at home.
Overall, the stay at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Sanya Haitang Bay was perfect. The beautiful environment, comfortable rooms, delicious dining and thoughtful service all made me praise it. Every day from 5:30 to 6:30, we enjoyed sipping drinks and snacking on fresh fruit at the beach bar while watching the sunset paint the sky in mesmerizing colours. It was pure bliss! Plus, the variety of water activities and the open-air beach bungalows added to the relaxation. Just a tip: those bungalows go fast, so make sure to snag one early if you plan to lounge in the sun all day!
The breakfast spread was a feast for the senses, loaded with delicious options served from 6:30 in the morning until 1:00 in the afternoon. No need to rush! And the convenience factor is off the charts with a buggy service ready to whisk you from your villa to the beach bar, lobby, restaurant, and more.
Our villa was nothing short of stunning and impeccably clean. Every evening, the staff turned down the bed and left a delightful little gift, which added a charming touch to our stay. And to top it all off, they surprised us with a birthday cake for my partner—such a sweet, thoughtful gesture!
We truly had the time of our lives, and I can’t recommend Banyan Tree Sanya enough!

Even during the bustling summer peak season with such high occupancy, the hotel's management remained remarkably organized. Our dedicated butler, Jenny, provided incredibly meticulous and personalized service, which was truly outstanding. Having visited Hainan numerous times, I can confidently say this hotel's attention to detail was the best I've encountered. The overall experience was superb, offering excellent value for money. The entire hotel also boasts an eco-friendly design theme.
A particular highlight was the breakfast; it was incredibly diverse, incorporating local specialties, and even featured a dedicated coffee bar with a wide array of choices – truly thoughtful! Both adults and children were thoroughly pleased, with plenty of activities available for booking for everyone. There's also an indoor kids' club and a very unique pool area, including a massive infinity pool.
The only minor point is its slight distance from the beach. However, we had such a wonderful time simply relaxing at the hotel for two days that we didn't even feel the need to go to the seaside. If we preferred not to go out, dining at the hotel's restaurants was consistently delicious. For those looking to explore, the duty-free shop is just a 15-minute drive away, and the Haichang Evernight City, a mere 6 minutes distant, offers a variety of specialized Hainanese restaurants. Overall satisfaction: 100%!

__WeChat247789****Having visited Sanya many times, this was my first stay at The Ritz-Carlton. I'd always thought the hotel seemed a bit dated and had never considered it before. However, this time we were traveling with our child, and hearing it was a family-friendly hotel, we decided to give it a try. To our surprise, it turned out to be the most satisfying hotel experience for our family of three on this entire trip.
Firstly, the service was truly outstanding. All the staff members throughout the hotel were incredibly enthusiastic and accommodating, essentially fulfilling every request. What stood out was their genuine attention to children's experiences, a refreshing change from other hotels that often treat kids perfunctorily. The hotel lobby even offered complimentary treats for children daily, such as cotton candy and Qingbuliang (a local dessert soup).
Secondly, the food selection was extensive. The hotel's breakfast perfectly suited my Sichuan palate, and I particularly recommend the spicy and sour beef rice noodles.
Thirdly, the public areas were well-managed. At the pool, you had to provide your room number to get a seat, which kept the area orderly and prevented any chaos. This was a stark contrast to our later stay at The Edition, where it felt like anyone could use the pool and there were no checks for lounge chairs. We ended up walking around twice under the blazing sun just to find a wet chair, which really diminished the experience there.
Fourth, a special mention and heartfelt thank you to our 'guardian angel,' Zoey. She diligently checked in on our stay experience even after her work hours. Her service was incredibly attentive and thorough – absolutely top-notch!
While the rooms might not be as new as those in recently built hotels, I honestly feel this doesn't impact the overall experience in the slightest. We're already planning to return in a couple of months!

CChristieThis hotel was excellent. There are 2 pools, both very clean and large. The staff also frequently check the pool and maintain it in excellent condition. The highlight….the breakfast buffet was amazing!!!!! It had multiple stations including BBQ, noodles, traditional dim sum, western breakfast options, Thai/malay curry, pastries, desserts and an excellent assortment of fresh tropical fruit. They had guava, passion fruit and fresh melons.
Would definitely come again and stay longer so that I can see other parts of the island.

GGuest UserI personally really did not enjoying my stay at this hotel. I felt it was more of a mainstream Chinese tour group hotel than an international high-end brand. The breakfast was so busy full of so many people the swimming pools were really bad. Are they too small and weird shaped and closed. you can’t swim on the beach here. There was only two check in staff for 1 million people so expect to have to wait to check in. If you have kids, maybe it’s fine but for Western tourists especially those without kids I would strongly recommend not to stay here.

Pros:
The beach is right there, the water is clear, and the waves are small, making it super convenient for swimming. The view is also fantastic. For the sea-view room we booked, the price was an absolute steal!
Cons:
Now for the downsides! The hotel is old, and there's no denying that. Given its prime location and year-round full occupancy, I can understand why major renovations might be difficult. However, the poor hygiene is completely unacceptable. In the bathroom, the toilet seat still had sticky residue from disposable seat covers left by previous guests (or even several previous guests), which hadn't been properly cleaned. Is it really that hard? A little adhesive remover would take it off instantly! Cobwebs were hanging in the corner of the cubby where the bath towels were stored – seriously, how long has it been since that spot was cleaned? The transparent glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom had a white roller blind covered in mold spots! Maybe they could just replace it with a patterned blind, so I wouldn't have to look at it and could just pretend it's clean...
Our room's bathroom didn't have a separate shower, forcing us to shower in the bathtub. The hygiene of the tub and its surroundings was so questionable that soaking was out of the question – we could only stand to wash. To make matters worse, both the roller blind on the left and the shower curtain on the right were full of mold spots and various strange stains. The tub itself was barely half a meter wide, making showering feel like an extreme obstacle course! The wardrobe had a basic design: open the door, the light comes on; close the door, it turns off. However, the cabinet door was warped and didn't close properly, so the light inside stayed eerily on. In the middle of the night, it looked as if some mythical creature was residing within... The bathrobes were frayed, and the curtains were too dirty to even touch. Despite a wonderful balcony with an amazing view, not even a single chair was provided.
Downstairs, there's a large swimming pool, but it only had ankle-deep water. This vast area, featuring a pool bar and a circular lounging zone, along with the adjacent circular-designed McDonald's, felt like a completely wasted excellent setup. For the pools that did have water, the circulation wasn't working, and the water wasn't even clear! I really can't fathom what the hotel management is thinking. It was similar last year, but this year, the hygiene appears to have deteriorated even further.
Overall, for Yalong Bay, the hotel offers good value for money, and the sea here is truly amazing. I sincerely hope the hotel can improve. I won't even dwell on the outdated facilities; just updating the small details and implementing stricter hygiene controls would make a huge difference, even if it meant a slight price increase. Otherwise, even its prime location won't be enough to salvage its reputation.
Oh, and a final note: the hotel's safety railing for beds should not be used. It's a serious safety hazard. The support bar that slides under the mattress is less than 20cm long, causing it to tip over with the slightest touch. Parents traveling with babies should be especially cautious!

YYuanannaBefore we checked in, the housekeeper Kiki contacted us proactively. We thought it was just an online housekeeper, but we didn't expect that he would show up when we checked in and lead us. Along the way, he asked us about our needs and adaptability, and asked us if we needed an introduction to the hotel. He also introduced the room facilities after we entered the room. Kiki responded and solved various problems in a timely manner. Because I was with my children, I encountered more problems, but there was a staff member who was very nice. Several families came to help us solve the problems every time, saying that they were worried that we had been waiting for a long time. I later asked Kiki his name, which was Wang Chenglong. I don't know if the evaluation is useful, but I am really grateful to them both.
