Centrally located, clean, has lift. Chose this hotel as a stopover after a dive trip; needed lift access for luggage. Friendly and helpful staff. Nearby mosque so light sleepers may need earplugs. Our room has a balcony which was useful to dry our wet swim stuff. Thank you!

I had a fantastic stay at Sunshine in Semporna! This hotel is brand new and impeccably clean, which made my stay incredibly comfortable. Most importantly, they have a elevator. The staff were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond—when I requested a change from my booked room (without a balcony), they kindly upgraded me without any hassle. While the hotel isn’t right by the sea or jetty pier, it’s just a short 10-minute walk away, which I found very manageable. As a solo traveler, safety was a top priority, and I felt completely secure walking around the area, even at 9 PM. The location is a huge plus—it’s in the heart of Semporna, surrounded by gold shops and plenty of eateries serving delicious local food. I actually preferred this spot over the pier area, which can feel crowded and has many homeless children asking for money or food. The only minor downsides were that the hot water wasn’t quite hot enough and there was some barking from dogs at night. However, the dogs were very friendly and didn’t bother me for food, so it wasn’t a big issue. Overall, Sunshine Bouquet Hotel is a gem for solo travelers or anyone looking for a clean, safe, and convenient stay in Semporna. Highly recommend!

The behaviour of the staff is very good. This hotel is convenient if you value easy access to amenities and don’t mind a lively atmosphere. With Maybank, a mart, and several food shops nearby, daily needs are well covered. On the downside, guests who are sensitive to noise may find it challenging to rest. The weekend night market creates significant noise late into the night, making sleep difficult. Additionally, the toilet has an unpleasant odor, likely coming from the drain, which detracts from overall comfort.

The location is good, convenient to go to the jetty and to find food. The room size is reasonable. Pillow is high and hard though the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is kind of messy and requires proper maintenance. This property is not cheap.
