Kyukamura Nyuto-Onsenkyo Reviews

Too touristy and onsen not very well maintained. Food is generally ok but require guests to eat in the lounge as the restaurant can only fit 15 tables.

Take nyuto line bus from tazawako station which will be about 840 yen. This is not the most famous onsen in that area because it is modern. Take the deal with breakfast and dinner included. No shops around.

Overall a decent hotel, a little bit dated but it can be expected. The dinner is buffet style with limited choices. Snow was heavy when we arrived.

Nice place, nice food, nice people

Breakfast and dinner are very good. There is a variety, delicious taste, very good quality, very good service staff. Except the onsen and the room should be improved to be modern and better.

Only one thing to improve is shuttle service. There is no bus shuttle service from train station.

You can buy a hot spring circuit, and Leisure Village should be the largest in Nyuto Hot Spring, with complete facilities and clean rooms. It's really a good experience to be able to stay in Nyuto Hot Spring this time. I originally thought it was a pity that I didn't book other hotels, but this is the best choice, because other hotels are relatively small. On the contrary, if it is a family or an individual who comes alone, Leisure Village is recommended. I booked a Japanese-style room, which was quite big, but there was no bathroom. However, there was no need for a bathroom if there was a hot spring. Outside the window was a forest in front of the hotel, with a nice view. The hot spring has three pools, one open-air hot spring, two indoor black and white hot springs. The hot springs are natural and pretty good. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are all self-service, check out at 10 am and check in at 3 pm. I arrived at a little after 1 pm and waited for the people in front to check in. I waited for about 45 minutes. I could have gone to the nearby Taenoyu hot spring, but I missed the time because the reception there ended at 2 pm.

The room is a traditional Japanese tatami room, with a full snow scene outside the window. It is just right for two people to stay. It is not too big. The hotel service staff came back to lay the tatami at dinner time. The heating is sufficient, so you don’t have to worry about being cold. You can wear less clothes indoors. The bus station is at the door of the hotel. Turn right and walk 5 minutes to Taenoyu, where you can take a mixed bath. Please note that the hot springs are cleaned and stopped every Tuesday. The hotel hot spring is very good. As soon as you enter, you can smell sulfur. There are gold and silver hot springs. The silver hot spring is pure sulfur spring. The outdoor open-air hot spring is great. The small pool is full of snowflakes. Watching the surrounding trees wrapped in white is a good experience. The local ingredients used for dinner are mainly mountain delicacies, and the freshly fried tempura is delicious. If you are looking for cost-effectiveness, this is recommended.

It's just not very tasty.... Everything else is good. The hot spring is especially good. The service is also good. The tempura is good among the food. The rest is just average. It tastes a bit like an assembly line. But I still hope there will be fewer tourists...
