Le Seoul Hotel

I had a stopover (three days) in Seoul with my 78 yr olds mother. We selected this hotel because of its location. It’s only a few minutes walk to many bus lines and subway #1 and #2 lines. There is an observation deck on the 13 floor in the nearby city hall building that you can access for free during the afternoon hours. Grandma Yu’ Bibimbap restaurant is also only a block away. The royal guard changing ceremony at the nearby Deoksugung palace is free to watch and you can take photos with the performers afterwards. On the last day my mother was tied from all the walking so we took a taxi to Namdaemun market instead of public transit. From the hotel it cost 5100 won which was reasonable. We booked a room with breakfast as it was convenient for my mother. Korean breakfast was great. But if you are not familiar with eating rice/noodles/soup for breakfast then they have a small selection of western style food: bread and jam, ham and cheese sandwich, yogurt, cereal, scrambled eggs, fruits and salad. We had a room on the 9th floor so it was quiet from street noises. The staff were friendly. The room was nice and clean. It could use a shower curtain in the bathroom though.

The location is in an alley, but not difficult to find. It's far from the metro station. There's a cafe right inside the hotel. There are plenty of local eateries nearby.

A decent hotel with many good nearby. The counter staff is very friendly.
